Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I've heard about it - I can't wait! That's way I want to do our FPs before dinner so we can just float around until we need to get in line. I saw you post above - we're 4/20, and I think when I made our initial dining package ADR, it was only the first show. When I tried the other night I was surprised it was for the second show, but glad, since I think we can better utilize park time!

Yes I'm seeing two shows after first week of April (when I go) but not seeing them pop up for March even though post says they start two shows this Saturday ... when I go.

So YEAH, there are two shows our night .....

So YEAH, we will be exiting into the cluster ....

Let's see how much they've done to fix this ....

I just switched to the later show.

I'll still get the audience swap experience,
but I'll get more park time ...

We did not experience a traffic flow problem after Saturday's 1st show, so hopefully they've made needed corrections (fingers crossed!). We exited across from Everest area and hoofed it over to Nomad lounge where we had the place nearly to ourselves and the best/most adorable server ever. I love that place so much!

LOVE Nomad but sadly when Pandora opens I fear the secret will be out.

We love Nomad too! I've felt bad for the servers for not having a steady stream of customers, but soon I'll be feeling sorry for those of us who have frequented this *secret paradise* all these months!!

First few double show nights had lots of photos posted and "bloggers" saying it was difficult.
5000 in and 5000 out into paths that already were not wide and really no shortcuts, everyone has to use the path around the lake.
Lately it seems lots of single show nights so I guess we'll see how it works on Saturday.

I would be LOVIN' that ..... maybe it's just Joe Rohde ... testing or not happy. I've seen pics of him roaming AK last few days.

He was actually a few tables over from us at Jiko Monday night, so I can confirm that he does not make weird growly noises...at least not all the time!

I can't believe it, this thread is OVER a year old.

It's like planning an exotic vacation because it takes so much waiting & preparing
(well our discussion was as much planning as I did) .... and I'm just going to WDW.

I laughed as I packed my bag that my DD is also packing her bag
as we both leave town at the same exact time ....

Except she is going to CUBA! Never thought I'd see that day either.

Cuba and Rumors of Light - both miracles.


I shall report back next week ....

ROL family - I am here now! In some ways I felt incredibly apathetic but now that I'm sitting here in the theater with my DD, I can't wait for it to start!

Shaking my head at the irony that a year later I'm still stalking RoL Tusker House breakfast ADRs for a mid-summer trip. (But at the same time, glad we're heading back so soon and will get to experience the new AK offerings!)

I was also there on Saturday and there were no traffic flow issues like what was first reported. They had more than enough people directing traffic and I didn't find it to be any more or less crowded than any other nighttime event.

Congrats ... strange coincidence, but I'm finishing up my final project for my Masters as well. Due date for the "feedback draft" is next week, so I will be busy with final touches this weekend too.
