For those who are there now, how are the bag lines? If you get there early, can you get thru them faster? I would rather not have to bring one, but I am seeing they are making you empty your pockets too.

I'm curious about this too. Before it was just getting to the parks for RD, now we may need to be extra early to get through security! We need to know when bag check actually opens in the morning.

We are planning a fall trip and my eyes perked up when I saw that you pack wine. May I ask how you get it down safely? My thought was to buy a box or two and put them in XL zip loc bags. Any thoughts on that? Thanks and enjoy your trip!

Thanks...really looking forward to this trip, even though it hasn't been that long since I was there....

As to transporting the wine: In the past, I've packed the bottles tightly in amongst my clothes in my checked bag. Even when they have shifted, and noticeably clank after the flight, so far, (knock on wood), I've never had any break. Occasionally, TSA has left their little "we opened your bag" note inside, but all was well. This time, I'm thinking I'm going to get some of those neoprene wine bags to pack the bottles in so they don't clank if they shift. Never tried transporting a box...might be easier, but more "crushable"....

I just wanted to share my excitement that there's only 1 MORE SLEEP!!!!! I finished our matching shirts and now starting to pack. Even without ROL I cannot wait to be there!!! Hope to run into some fellow loungers

They're thinking of adding elements of the Jungle Book...wonder if this has anything to do with the delay, or if it's all technical issues...

I just found out that the new section of DS is opening the day I get there. May 15. So in the new patisserie.

With this, the Ganachery, and (hopefully open when I go) Ample Hills Creamery I'm definitely going to be on sugar overload! Can't wait!

Disney expanded the June closing hours for AK from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (at least for the day we're there) a few months back, most likely to accommodate the new nighttime activities. I'm wondering now if they'll change them back.

I'd heard that this is commonplace for June (8PM close). There's no way that 8PM would be accommodating the nighttime activities as the sun is still up in the sky at that time.

I'm at 30 days today you guys!!! My magic bands are shipping out today! I've only used bands I bought myself as I haven't stayed on property in probably 15+ years. About how long does it take for them to arrive, typically?

We drive so I could pack some in my suitcase but I thought at one time it was illegal to drive across state lines with alcohol. But maybe I'm wrong, or maybe that's changed?? Anyone know if I'm delusional or what? lol

When is your trip? If you're planning for July or later, then you are more likely to see it than anyone with a trip in April-June. There is no firm opening date right now, though.

Agreed. Tentative ROL times were 8:30 and 9:15.

On-property guests get the magic bands for free. If you are not staying on-property, you can purchase them from the Disney Store and link them to your tickets using the MDE app.
