Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Yesterday was the busiest--trip is right around the corner and all of a sudden there are a million things that have to happen before we leave! But I *love* sharing itineraries! I'm traveling with DP, we're both mid-20s and we've been to the World together a handful of times. Here's our plans:
4/18: arrive at MCO at 1:00 PM, take DME to CSR. We have FP+ booked for MK. No dinner booked yet--maybe Skipper Canteen?
4/19: Universal day. We'll likely stop at an outlet mall on the way back too
4/20: Epcot morning (mostly walking the WS), then hopping to HS for a 4:00 'dinner' at MM.
4/21: AK day. Lunch at Sanaa, and with a park closing of 6:30 we'll probably close it out and then head to DS for dinner
4/22: move from CSR to GF in the morning. We have afternoon tea booked, and otherwise we'll do a mix of enjoying the resort and popping in to MK
4/23: DPs birthday! Starting the day with breakfast at CRT, spending the day in MK, then hopping to HS for CV at 5:45
4/24: early morning flight home

This is by far our shortest trip--we usually stay about twice as long--but I think we have a pretty good mix of past favourite activities and interesting new things. It's also the fewest ADRs we've done for mix of reasons: means more park time, which seems important on a shorter trip, stretching the dollar a bit further to make up for Canadian dollar, and to fit CV and GF into our budget--both big splurges for us! (I missed the perpetual education convo yesterday, but DP and I are both halfway through PhDs. I tell my young cousins that I'm in grade 21 :rotfl:)

I can't wait to walk under the train station and onto Main Street, USA! It's almost time!

I am fairly sure I have set my plans unless by some miracle ROL comes available for my trip, but not holding my breath. It's me and a coworker who has never been to Disney. Trying to have a good experience for her.

5/15 Arrival day - Sanaa for dinner and then DS for shopping
5/16 AK - lunch Y&Y and dinner at TH, after dinner may go to boardwalk or DS again
5/17 MK - BOG lunch, staying til park closes to see Kiss goodnight
5/18 MK - Kona breakfast and Hoop Dee Doo 4pm - not sure if will take advantage of EMH or not
5/19 EP - Akershus breakfast and Via Napoli dinner, snack at F&G in between
5/20 EP - check out, hold luggage, snack around F&G all day and head over to Rosen Shingle Creek for conference around 5-6

I would also suggest putting the link to the lounge buttons and shirts in the first post.

And I will jump on the itinerary bandwagon.

4/14 - Arrive late (9:30pm) Beach Club Villas
4/15 - HS rope drop, Jedi Training, afternoon break, and then back to HS in evening for Fireworks
4/16 - Star Wars Dark Side 10K, Then Epcot
4/17 - Star Wars Dark Side Half Marathon, Then Animal Kingdom, Then Epcot for dinner
4/18 - MK rope drop, resort rest, MK evening with FP+ for MSEP and Wishes (I think the last night for FP Wishes)
4/19 - MK morning, Epcot or HS evening
4/20 - Disney Springs morning, Open evening, probably Epcot, but maybe AK
4/21 - MK Morning, PP BOG ADR, Afternoon Epcot
4/22 - MK EMH, Epcot Evening
4/23 - Fort Wilderness Campground outing, MK afternoon/Evening
4/24 - Pool, possibly Epcot, Leave for Airport at 2:30p

My evening plans are all pretty flexible, depending on what the kiddos want to do. Since we can walk to Epcot, we have a tendency to end up there in the evening

Maybe I'll run into you at BCV - we can make a lounge at Hurricane Hannas :drinking1

We overlap on 4/21 AK and 4/23 MK. Maybe our paths will cross. At AK I'll have the official Lounge shirt and at MK I'll have a Grumpy shirt and be surrounded by the other dwarves and Snow. Feel free to say hi.

SO had dinner last night with a group that included a WDW CM (not AK). No shop talk.

We were having a convo about something completely unrelated to Disney. We were trying to come up with a name for something.

I thought why not test the Lounger's motto and see what happens, so I threw out there "Rumors of Light."

She BUSTED out laughing. She totally got it. Nothing more needed to be said, I just smiled ... maybe smirked.

So I hope all those repping the Lounge get some good responses from CMs.

Darn - we will miss Jiminy by one day. :( I'm excited to see the sand sculpture and try some of those desserts, though!

@OhioStateBuckeye thought'd I'd tag you just in case you want to add this information to the thread? Not sure, though, because it isn't directly "new AK night time activities."
