I have been at a golf tournament all day with no phones allowed. Can someone fill me in on what happened? My trip is 5/4-5/13. Thanks!

Ouch. Definitely. No can do!

But will you have a vehicle? Because even if you don't go to NASA, you can go to Cocoa Beach. It's relatively free since all you're spending is gas money and you can pack a picnic lunch.

Yea I'm renting a car for the day, I was thinking about Cocoa or even Clearwater. I've only been to Daytona before, so it would be neat to check out one of the others. But I'll see what the girlfriend says about it haha. Relaxing at the water park for a day before storming the parks for her first visit might be nice haha

I just want to say "Thanks" to all on this thread. I have been lurking since page one when I became excited about possibly seeing ROL during my trip in early May. I have read almost every page and this thread has been a hoot. A baby was born, Maggie became an internet sensation and T-shirts and buttons were created! Everyone was friendly and helpful. I'm kind of sad I won't get to see ROL, SW fireworks, or the new Soarin during my trip but now I can make other plans and move on to concentrating on the Flower & Garden Festival. Thanks again to everyone for a record breaking thread. It's been a blast!

Just for the record, summer doesn't start till June 22 (or so, avg date of solstice)
So technically, June is Summer Offerings

Technically that may be true. But if your kids get out of school in May Mid-June is the halfway point of summer vacation. So summer solstice aside, the kids go back to school the first week in August and it means (from my perspective) that you miss some of the "summer."

4/22 AK, lunch at Rainforest Cafe, now likely we will end the day at Disney Springs
4/23 HS, Fantasmic dinner at Hollywood & Vine with Minnie & friends
4/24 MK, Pre opening BOG breakfast, Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare
4/25 Chef Mickey's breakfast, Epcot
4/26 MK, Tony's for late lunch (hoping to get a porch seat for the parade)
4/27 up and out bright and early for departure

Looks like you guys have the same plans for 4/24! We'll also be at MK that morning but we're having breakfast at CP. @babyblues425 we check into the Poly on 4/28 - I'll have my ROL lounge button on!

So, when I booked my trip I knew Soarin was closed but ROL and FEA were supposed to be open. I guess I could look on the bright side as I now have the privilege of paying fir MK early or late hours. Will any of the nighttime events go on as planned without ROL? I would still love to talk hubby into another US or SW day. He will be major disappointed so he may just do it. Fingers crossed!

Sigh. I just changed all my AK FPs back to morning. I had them all as late as possible and was going to add in a ROL dining package for the perfect evening at AK. Now that ROL will
more than likely not be shown when we are there I figure we should go back to our old way of touring and spend the morning at AK until it gets crazy hot then back to the Poly to swim for the rest of the day.

Just got a call from Olivia from WDW about the blog post. She apologized profusely about the postponement. I asked her if they would open the other nighttime stuff and she said, no it would all be together. I asked if it were possible it could come sooner and she said it was possible but they are expecting mid-May for the announcement, SO I asked if she got any information that it would happen sooner, would she call me and let me know and she said she would make a note to do that if something happened sooner.

No phone calls here yet...but I'm not sure I can talk to anyone from George's office right now anyway...dang. Trying to move on. Plans being made as we speak to fill the evening we left open.

Chin up, everyone. At least those of us April/May folks can now sleep through the night...LOL!

4/27 - MK all day, Kona Café dinner unless I can get a BOG

4/29 - MK all day, Tony's dinner
4/30 - Check out of Pop, MK until noon

There's this one... Maybe we could light it on fire?

Trash can
2 oz vodka
2 oz white rum
2 oz gin
2 oz triple sec
2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
1 can Red Bull® energy drink
ice

Take cup and loosely fill halfway with ice. Add shot vodka, white rum, gin, triple sec, and blue curacao. Open can of Red Bull and pour half of it into the cup, and then dunk the can below the water level, so half of the Red Bull is still in the upside-down can.

Chug drink through a straw as fast as possible. When you reach the bottom, lift the can of Red Bull out of the cup to refill the trash can, and resume chugging.

Wait 3-5 minutes for results.

We usually stay at Contemporary but chose Animal Kingdom this time. I really hope waking up and looking out the window and seeing the animals from our room will make her forget what she is missing. We will still do the day time safari. She was excited to see the hyenas as she has never seen one.

We're at the AK for the first time too! I've tried to keep things vague, but there will be disappointment! I probably said more than I should...what are your dates?
