Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Have any of you ever been to an AP preview or special event? We are a family of 5 who will have 2 APs in our party. Can we realistically plan on the event (assuming it actually happens) or does each person in the party need an AP?

Someone who has done one for sure will chime in but when New Fantasyland had their AP Preview, me and DS#1 had APs but DS#2 did not so we were told he could not enter the event .. so we skipped it. I mean it makes sense it should be restricted so someone with an AP doesn't get shut out. Some sites are saying it is a pay event too.

Thx! Yeah, in my mind, it's still a paid event that only AP/DVC can attend, which is kinda why I was asking...I was wondering if our AP holders could buy more than one ticket. If it's not a ticketed event, I completely understand that only AP/DVC can attend. I keep sitting here telling myself I will NOT upgrade the remaining 3 family members just so we can see ROL!!! The 2 AP will go back in October but the rest of us aren't planning a trip right now.

Someone posted on facebook ROL dining packages will be open to book on Saturday. I asked where she heard this but she hasn't answered me yet. So I don't know if it is another rumor or not

Glad to hear all this. My DH just got approved for his vacation the last week of May. We should be in AK on my birthday, Msy 23. Hope we can get a dinner package. As of now we are not getting tickets until we get down there so can't get FP.

Okay just curious here. We are a family of 4 with APs. But we are taking our 10 year old niece this time for Spring Break. What are the chances they will let her into the ROL AP event with us if it actually happens ? Any CMs care to chime in here please ???

Joining the weather talk late! Here in Texas we didn't get much of a winter either. We usually have at least a day or two with some snow, but this year we barely even had a freeze. Loving that I bought the kids all that cold weather attire that they never got to wear and will be too big for next winter. Could have used that money for my RoL package!

SO ... some big Disney bloggers are saying this interCM document was actually circulating the beginning of the month and that has since been cancelled. One reported knowing RoL theater CMs and there have been some issues and they will not know until next Monday if the "show will go on" as planned.

That thought crossed my mind...that it was from before the previews got cancelled.
