Anyone know when summer officially starts, according to WDW? A LOT is supposed to open/reopen "in summer".

Summer starts June 20/21, or thereabouts.

It's funny but official season start dates don't really correspond to what most folks think of as the season

Winter starts Dec 20/21
Spring March 20/21
Summer June 20/21
Fall Sept 20/21

How many here think of Sept as fall, Nov as Winter and May as summer?

Exactly. The "start of" date always felt like it was the middle of the season. My middle name is actually Autumn but at 9/9 I am "technically" a Summer baby!

True, but that's using a conventional calendar. We're stuck with a Disney Calendar and who knows what they consider 'Summer' to mean. To them 'very soon' seems to mean at least 2 weeks...

As far as the Disney calendar, they have shown repeatedly that, to them, "Summer" can mean any time as early as mid-late May. However, it also gives them the flexibility to delay until September if they so choose...

When I was wondering about what time Norway will open and whether to change my ADR time at arkeshus I went to change it on MDE app last night and had to put all my credit card details in again and instead of prompting me to cancel the 1st reservation at 9.45 it let me make a 2nd at 10.35 as well. I feel a bit guilty as I now have 2 but also feel much less stressed as it gives me time to wait for park hours and then cancel one. Not quite sure how it happened though with such a small time difference.

Yes, maybe not common knowledge but it is a known glitch of the app. It will let you double up your ADR in many cases. And an annoying part is it often makes you put in your credit card info again, where the website won't.

Hey, if that's the only "double" you have, you are rare. I have a couple of Beaches and Cream resv scheduled for lunch or late lunch on our AK day, and they are totally dependent on getting a dining package or not....

Many folks grab every time they can get, then go back and casually go though and cancel the ones they don't want. The CANCELLED ADR thread is good for that, as you can coordinate with folks who might be wanting your time, and you can do a drop and grab.

EDIT: YIPPEE, my post makes it PAGE 400!!! Do I win? Maybe a FP to ROL??????
