Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

No need to apologize! Most of the dates we've been discussing here are April/May which have 6:30 closes most nights. I only know that June has 8:00 closes b/c June 1 is one of the dates I'm considering for ROL (May 27 is the other...and still has a 6:30 close!)

June 1 is our AK day, I grabbed one of the later safaris and a later Lion King, trying to plan for ROL and I know my crew won't make it that late if we get there early.

Okay, new planning strategy.

I will divide a dart board into 4 quadrants, labeling each with a park name. I will then label darts with days of the week. I will then wing the darts at the board and proceed as indicated.

Don't forget to label somewhere on the board as the mythical 'non-park' day that I have been hearing about but never experienced....at least that day would be hard for Disney to throw into chaos on you!

ha - that's true! We've never done one - so far our trips have been long enough that we just have as many days as we're there, and we get to a park at some point in the day/evening! That's how they getcha! Making those back-end days so much cheaper!

Should I be wondering why I couldn't get any dinner reservations for Tusker House for late September other than 4:15, which is a standard latest time for Fantasmic dining packages for dinner? Or am I just reading something into absolutely everything now :p?
The hours are just showing dinner at TH from 4 to 5. A CM pointed that out to me when I was wondering why CRT and BOG were so hard to get this far out. They are only set to 5 or 6. I guess the hours aren't set up yet?

I would love to try Sanaa and a few other "not so cookie cutter" type places but I always travel with picky eaters. :(

Then I highly recommend Tusker. Lots of interesting things to try (and buffet so if you don't like them, get something else) and there is enough 'standard fare' that picky eaters won't starve. It worked for my DF who sometimes has the palate of a 2 yo and my actual 2 yo last year. It made me soooooo happy.

So glad to hear, because my family chose TH and Biergarten as our big family dinners! :D

I'm so annoyed (like so many) ...For our end of April trip there are uncertainties (ROL), attraction closures, price changes, and now EMH changes possibly affecting my early ADRs. We will still have an awesome vacation but we are all spending more and getting less. I just can't believe the difference from our previous trips.
I know how you feel. So many changes going on I feel like I'm going around in circles trying to plan this trip!
