WE'VE HIT A NEW LOW!

Called immediately when I saw @michelepa 's post. We begin and CM says, "Yes, booking PREVIEW PARTIES today" and we get started. 15th and 16th. She was looking up info about differences and we started the booking process.

AND THEN SHE PUT ME ON HOLD AND THEN CAME BACK AND SAID, "I'M SORRY, BOOKING FOR THE PREVIEW PACKAGES HAD BEEN DELAYED". And she could not give me any more information about when booking would become available again.

"Have a Fantasmic day!"

The reason people are calling is that special events are not always listed on the blog or any other way Disney instructs. Sometimes it just pops up and is bookable.
Maybe this time it will be on the blog, first. But, there's no way to know for sure.

I was so close!

She could not tell me if it would start up again in a few hours or even today. But I confirmed with her that it was a go at the start of our conversation, and that the information changed DURING our call.

I have a feeling some CMs don't even know what the preview packages are. I asked if I could book and he said "what date" and I said "I'll be there the 16-18th" and he said "of what month?!"

Thank you for posting what your CM said. I think we have gotten a little information, Disney is probably close to booking something. I think it's a positive sign they have potential dates for previews. Fingers crossed!

On the practical side, what I did hear (above the din of trying to simultaneously get my son off to school)

is preview parties on the 15th and 16th - the 15th being the "premium" party... I asked about the 17th and she said no...take it with a grain of salt, of course...

so the madness begins again...CMs who give out little to no info, CMs who get your hopes up, only to dash them against the rocks, CMs who are clueless, CMs who are sweet but have nothing for you...

Planning a Disney trip is certainly not for the faint of heart!!

Thank you for at least verifying I was not going crazy or delusional from so many days of angst over awaiting ROL that I was now making thigs up to post. The CM I had seemed on the ball and knowledgable. I really thought the tide had turned. Silly me

This day has not started out well - pulling into a driveway to post inaccurate CM info then unposting it, getting back on the road i almost missed the train had to run to make it.
