I'm starting to wonder if "finalizing details and working out the kinks" may be code for raising prices from what they initially planned. Isn't that why the Club Villain dates were recently cancelled then rebooked?

This is exactly what I thought when I saw someone post the $105 price point. The original rumor from the Dibb was that the prices would be $99 for the premium event and $49 for the other preview(s). Now there's a delay in opening reservations and prices are $105/$52...

Yes, thank you. It is from my trip with DH a couple weeks ago. I'm wearing the crown I got for my mom to wear on her trip. She may be 72 and on her first trip but she is not too old to be a princess

Because in our experience, the experience itself is worth paying for.

If Disney had a competitor that offered an equal product without all of the hassle, I'd go to them. But for US, this doesn't exist. Simple.

I called to see if I could book beyond the preview. I am waiting to book a ROL dining package for my summer trip.

Yeah. Hard to imagine they don't know THAT yet... Presumably showtimes are not going to be altered by an IT glitch or delay in project completion... ... ...

Maybe they are not opening packages because they are wanting to include Tiffins and it is not ready. Who knows

Speaking as someone from the "old school" way of doing things I hear you. I do resent what we have to do now to make our trip go smoother and am willing to pay for not having to wait in long lines, get to an event an hour or more early then struggle to hold the spot, or lose sleep over trying to get into the restaurant we want to eat in rather be turned away, and if I didn't have 2 little princesses in training I would definitely spend my money elsewhere. In fact I already am by buying US season passes and moving off site. My next trip in September will be offsite and we may not even do a WDW day as we will be sans children/grandkids.

Every day i come on here looking for the latest info...thanks to all of you calling/checking...I am hoping one of these days it is a go(we ar in May) and we will still be able to book it by the time I see that reservations are finally being taken!

I'm sorry. I called back too and the new CM said it wasn't available to book yet either. She didn't understand why the other CM said she could book the package for me. She did confirm the $105 price and two preview dates of 4/15 & 4/16.

I wonder what happened to the preview for the 17th? Our flight lands a bit after noontime on the 16th and given our track record for on time flights, I'm hesitant to book the 16th.

I think you passed the princess test. You might just need to pick up another one for yourself.

So, I have a couple of thoughts/questions regarding the preview parties - I know that it's all new so it's just a guess, but the only type of "event" we've done is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, so I'm curious how this will run...

For the Food and Wine parties, those are parties within the park while the park is open to the public, yes? Any thoughts on whether it will be that type of model, or more like park closed to non-ticket holders?

I've heard approximately $100 for food, $50 for non-food - any idea if there will be a children's rate? Still have one under 10!

I too was hoping for the 17th, as it was the least disruptive to our current plans - the other two dates throw off a lot of stuff in a house of cards type fashion. However, for those of you scoring at home, my current plan is to try and get a preview party for the 16th (if no 17th), and then wait and see if FPs or Dining packages come out for opening night on the 22nd, which is our last night. If we manage to get both, then we'll suss out which makes more sense. It's tough to know if I'd rather battle the crowds on opening night without a sense of what the preview parties will be like.

Bummer on the no child rate - it would have helped a little as I already have an 11 YO "man-child" so this would be an expensive endeavor - but if it was after the park closes, that could be really amazing, yes?
