Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Earlier upthread, someone said that the Tusker House dinner was going to be streamlined (for lack of a better word). Less buffet choices, not table service, and a quick photo with the characters on the way out. If this is really how it will be, I am bummed. I already have dinner reservations there for early May. We booked it because it was table service and friends have said character interaction there was great. It doesn't feel fair to me that I booked one thing and may get another. And I don't have pipe dreams that somehow we'll magically be switched over to a ROL package because we have a pre-existing reservation.

That's still a rumor and has not been acted upon or confirmed. The poster even stressed that it was a rumor. The poster will update if more news comes out. Don't fret your cancel your ADR yet.

Thank you for the reminder that it is a rumor. I'm not fretting; we were on the fence as to whether to make the ADR at all because we are paying out of pocket and our kids are light eaters. We booked for the reasons that the rumor suggested will go away. We'll just have to wait and see.

Earlier in the thread 6 a.m. was the indicated time that ADR's normally start, but this is a little different situation so nobody is 100% for sure.

That's great! However, it may be a gamble if they decide to release fastpasses during those few days, lol.

On the HUB it says that the preview nights are April 16th and 17th. Maybe they are adding the 15th for media? I'm hoping it's an AP preview event, that would be awesome

Also, a CM I spoke to said she saw in the reservations a ROL preview for the 19th but it said nothing else and she had no more info. That was earlier in the week though.

Flame tree would be cool as a package. Quick good food. I am excited about tiffins though. Can care less about tucker house. One and done with it last year.

Do you think ADRs for Tiffns will open on March 11th too? Without the ROL package. Or is there a chance it will open earlier?

Just an FYI under all dinning it is showing special Animal Kingdom activities but will not let me get into it. Wonder if this will be the ROL package? It is showing on mobile site but not sure if it is showing on the regular web site. I can not check that since I am currently not at home.

Not sure it has ever been said to be included. Just folks hope it will be
If they do it could easily be done the same way they do Aladdin Oasis F! FP out on DL.

Why?

Why what? Why I like flame tree. I think it's good. Tucker house sucked for us. The workers were so pushy. They crowed the kids down to one end of the table said to not touch their books. They needed to be open piled at end of table and to not move from our table if we saw any characters cause they don't come back. I get they don't come back but holy crap it was the most stressed out character meal ever! The interaction was good for a character meal. But the staff was brutal. They could have handled it so much nicer. We in general are done with character meals cause the food has gotten so bad and the interaction is no where near the level it used to be. Cindys castle used to be really fun. Past few trips the quality of interaction has gone down. Only time we will do character meals again is if we r with friends who are first time visits like our June trip with friends so we will go to the castle for dinner. I'm interested to see if things got better in the past 1.5 yrs.
