Interesting. Hopefully they will still be metal free as I'm allergic to the Fitbit wrist style trackers.

I thought it was interesting he used a photo of the FitBit Watch and not a regular FitBit. I would think it makes more sense to be like a regular FitBit band that you pop this circular thing in to like you pop their small plastic thing in to the back. The watch style looks like it would be too expensive on their part.

Also Sea World sells these cool bands with an opening that I thinks sounds similar which is for displaying pressed pennies. I could see something like this but wider so they can sell all the printed ones.

Here in AK now to experience the park in the evening/nighttime for the first time in forever... ;)

Will try the JB show tonight for the heck of it, too, but our main draw is just the park itself at night. While the park feels kinda crowded it's only a 20min wait for Everest. Interesting. We have a FP for it later as well to experience it in the dark. :thumbsup2

OKAY ............................... so this is part of an AP SURVEY posted on reddit by teamfd. My DS saw it.

Looks like the end of his survey and given they are talking about upgraded APs ..... we don't know what kind they have.

BUT ....

WHY would you send what could be a "blood pressure rising" survey unless something is up your sleeve?

Something that folks may be excited to see ...... the only thing even close to the next couple years is Avatarland ...

.... could this be for a new MK parade? Please. ::yes::

Side note: I'd be MAD if I had a pass that now no longer entitled me to a new attraction. MAD. I don't see that option... ;)

You were so polite in your response of "mad" ........... my response was not .... type-able.

Well that's interesting.... Those thing look huge -- I'll assume the picture is just deceiving. I can't imagine the "cell" would have to be very big but those things look like they're the size of mega stuffed Oreo...or a Reese's peanut butter cup.

I breezed through the application specs but don't see specific size. My guess large button or maybe quarter. It would be able to pop in to a MagicBand.

I was looking through the specs as well to try and find some dimensions. I was thinking they shouldn't be much bigger than 2 quarters stacked on top of each other. Actually, I was thinking they should be more rectangular -- like the "solid" section of the current magic bands -- and they should just snap in to the band. I guess we'll find out. I won't be happy if they're as big a some of the current "smart" watches on the market...but since I won't be going to Disney for another 1 year, 10 months (that sounds better than "about 2 years"), I'll wait to start popping my anti-anxiety meds over this. I'm saving those for ROL...which I'm not convinced will be up and running yet. :D

At first glance (before reading any of the words in the photo or post) I thought, why is @HopperFan posting a photo of MagicBand symbol soap?

They do appear to be a bit clunky! Anyone else think the "pop in/out" style might be problematic with young kids (e.g. "Falls" out and gets lost)?

I'm seeing the same potential for loss unless the have a very tight front opening for touch ... with you putting in it the back like a FitBit, therefore your arm should keep it in place. But what a pain ... I'd rather just switch bands without having to do that. Should they go this route I highly doubt I would be buying any more of the special ones unless this move really drops the prices.

But in all fairness to me :woohoo:you never know what I might post .... I've got Disney stuff from top to bottom in my house, in boxes, drawer, in the garden, every room and sickness goes back to 1971. Included in that would be Disney hotel soap, all varieties as I take my own and bring the Mouse stuff home. SO now that you said that .... I recalled that there was a Disney hotel soap that looked like that and I'm sure I have some in a shoe box. It looks like this...................so maybe it is designed after soap.

Someone was taking a shower and had a lightbulb moment

Well, though I feel bad for saying this since I have A TON of respect for the performers themselves, the JB show was not our cup of tea.

We thought the projections weren't clear (despite good seats), didn't feel much of a connection with the dance portions, and didn't enjoy these interpretations of the JB songs. Sorry. :(

It was good for us that DISers helped set expectations on this one -- we weren't banking on a great show, but remained open and optimistic nonetheless.

But everything is subjective!! :)

We loved just being in AK at night, and absolutely LOVED the projections on the Tree of Life!!! We timed the safari to do right at sunset, which also was quite nice.

We have a friend joining us in a few days for his FIRST WDW TRIP EVER. To be frank, we'll skip the JB show. We think he'll get a much better impression of the magic Disney routinely creates from the Tree lighting / projections, the SW fireworks show, and everything else we have planed. :thumbsup2

We still have a bin of those soaps in our linen closet. That's about the size those new MB things look to me! :)

When i first saw the photo before i read you post, i thought it was of the old butter pats with the Mickey head... :P

I have boxes full of every generation of soap, shampoo etc. When all my nieces were young I put it in their stockings.

HAHA I remember those and how sad I was when they brought plain butter to me. It's like when the napkins went from printed to plain. I always brought some home to use in the kids lunch boxes.
