Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I'm not sure what they do when a new restaurant opens. I have also heard this is the last year for TiW. Ours lasts more like 13.5 months rather than 12 and think it might have something to do with them not "making" more. I certainly would call since they do cover other 2 TS credit meals like CRT.
Haven't heard this about TIW...can you post a link?

If this is true, it will sure make my decision to renew my annual pass or not a lot easier!

After hours is no more? I was actually willing to pay the AP/DVC price for our next trip since everyone has been saying how awesome it is. DANG!
Actually the last night they "changed" the price for everyone to the reduced price. But yes, I've heard it is either over, or at the very least, shelved.

I keep checking for July...nothing. If they changed the end of June to nightly dessert parties, why not the summer months too? It's the last thing I need to book!

Because Disney has been horrible about extending things and updating their calendars lately. I'm sure it will happen, just keep checking. Or watch the Star Wars thread - someone will definitely post it there. That's where I first saw the information about June.

Quoting myself here...ha ha ...I sent a note to the TIW folks about the rumor of discontinuing it...here is the reply:

Hello Jeanne,

Thank you for your inquiry. We currently do not have any plans to discontinue the Tables in Wonderland program. Unfortunately, this rumor comes back to us every so often, but I can confirm that at this time it is untrue.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Lindsay

So, I'm back to my dilemma of should I or shouldn't I renew my AP and TIW this fall...ha ha!

A cm said they sold out the first week or so because they gave tickets away. It will be interesting to see if they bring it back. With the hours getting longer for summer itd be a difficult task to insert after hours. But they did find out not many were willing to pay 149.

I think if I were someone who HAD coughed up $149 person, then found out they were giving them away, I'd be a bit upset...wonder how many complained and had to be reimbursed...?

That's good to know.. We just decided to get Annual passes again.

I'm so excited TiW isn't ending! We thought it was and were so disappointed lol. I'm so glad that doesn't have to be renewed every year in order to not have to pay more. I don't mind as much now because the DVC Gold Pass bc it's the same price as a 7 day park hopper but the regular AP is crazy.

From @OhioStateBuckeye 's thread on the Theme Park main page
Jungle Book Show Seating:

Asia (by Expedition Everest): Guests with FastPass+ entitlements should enter on this side. Stroller parking is planned to be by the Siamang exhibit.

DinoLand U.S.A. (by Finding Nemo – The Musical): Dining packages (when applicable) and standby seated Guests should enter this side. Stroller parking is at the same location that’s used for Finding Nemo- The Musical.

The theater will open to Guests 90 min prior to the first show.

I thought from the photos the Fp+ looks better view but I know having done both at fantasmic the dining package area is much better.

Hmmm. Interesting....

Hey Loungers, I posted this on the thread "Tiers for Fears." DH thought y'all might enjoy some random hootenanny! To the tune of "Everybody wants to rule the world."

Welcome to Epcot, Need a Tier 1 ride.
Even while I log-on, times are dwindling.
Acting on some impulse clicking,
thought ridin’ Land would be relaxing.
Everybody wants to book my Ride.

I don’t like having one…Tier to choose amoung.
I struggle to decide…
Shall I fly a Misson Spacecraft?
Wanted Soarin', got a test track.
Everybody wants to book my Ride.

There’s that tier with an extra option, but I miss old Figment’s wonder-land.
I like the Crush when he’s really chatty.
Spaceship Earth, its smells are pungent.
Manatees are friendly sea-beasts.
Everybody wants to book my Ride.

I can’t stand this indecision
Bookin’ with a lack of vision
Everybody wants to #Thanks Shanghai.

Saaaaay that you’ll never, never, never use it.
One fastpass, help me choose it!
Everybody wants to book my Ride!

I have a TH JB breakfast pkg and. TH JB dinner pkg booked for the same day. I'm trying to decide which one to cancel. The breakfast is listed as Donald's Safari Breakfast JB pkg. the dinner just says Tusker House dinner pkg. Will they not be having the characters at dinner?

They should have characters, unless they are getting rid of them. They had them at all 3 meals in March.
