Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I just got one too! 5.55pm on 1st June! However the confirmation said that Disney Dining Plan is not accepted... so think I may have to cancel. Hope I don't miss out on a ADR Tusker House now I cancelled it!

FWIW... Others have reported being told by phone CMs that their system shows that DDP is accepted and that email confirmation must be wrong.

I also VAGUELY remember hearing something... Was it from DPB... That they were being accepted??

Yes I think it was DPB. I won't freak out and cancel everything just yet then! Thank you :-)

:thumbsup2

Yup - found it: https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/b...nge-opening-may-27-at-disneys-animal-kingdom/

Similar to the popular Fantasmic! Dining Packages at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Dining Package includes reserved seating for the nighttime show. At all-you-care-to-eat Tusker House Restaurant, you can choose the breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet on the day of the show (but you have to dine at least 2 ½ hours before the show). Breakfast is $37, $23 ages 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity; lunch and dinner, $49, $30 ages 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity. Tusker House Restaurant is on the Disney Dining Plan and counts as one table-service meal.

At Tiffins, the package includes your choice of appetizer, entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage at either lunch or dinner. The Dining Package is $67 for adults, $32 ages 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity. Tiffins is on the Disney Dining Plan and counts as two table-service meal credits.

Question for you loungers...

I'm working of our late fall trip, and trying to figure out ADRs. Since MK will be doing the MVMCP 4 of the 6 nights we are there, we are trying to figure out the best way to utilize our evenings. Thinking about doing a California Grill ADR, and trying to schedule around the MVMCP fireworks. Anyone have any idea what time they do the fireworks? Party runs from 7-12PM, so thinking it's probably around 9:30 or 10?

Also, hoping that they finish putting in hours for the rest of the year for AK...we'd love to do a late night there too!! And if ROL is FINALLY up and running by then, that would be fantastic!

Thanks in advance for any input.

Jeanne

I just canceled Tiffins JB pkg, party of 5 5/29 at 2:50

I can't justify the cost since 2 of my kids are Disney adults, or using 2 credits. Hope that helps someone.

Well, I guess I'll keep trying to get a TH JB ADR for 5/27 for 5 people. Currently I have a JB FP for the 1st show, and a regular TH ADR at 4:30. Had to give up my KRR FP to get the JB one, but I think that this is a good back up plan.

Thank you all so much again for just being there through this adventure for lack of a family friendly word. So after getting about maybe 4 hours sleep fighting with my computer, securing JB ADRs and then going grocery shopping it's time for a nap. Good luck to all of you who are still stalking.

I needed a nap. Slept about an hour and a half. At least I can function for the rest of the day. Trying to get by on 4.5 hours of sleep (stayed up till midnight....just in case. Woke up at 5:00...just in case) wasn't cutting it. Glad that's all over now. Might still fine tune a few things, but nothing major...and nothing that requires a late night or early morning.

All lunch and dinner now posted for TH through end of August - told by CM on phone and able to book end of August online - quite a few available times at present!

I finally got the Tusker House JB package for my client:banana:. I also reserved the Tiffin's JB dining package for my family on July 11th. They are going to be guinea pigs and help me try out the menu at Tiffin's. I also scored a Safari fast pass for 9:30 - 10:30 pm which would be after the Jungle Book show. I decided we should check that out as well. After all these months I finally have a plan for our Animal Kingdom day. Being from the West Coast and up at 3 am I could really use a nap, but the family has activities so a triple shot latte will have to get me through the day.

Now that I feel like I can breathe again, I've been looking through the calendar of events for each park on the days we will be there. Has there always been 2 showings of Celebrate the Magic each night at MK? I've watched it before the fireworks, but I've never "noticed" it happening again later while we were still in the park.

It's like that when it's open later. And there's a second MSEP on some nights too. I guess if we can't get a good front of castle spot on our CtM/Wishes night, we could move to the front after Wishes as I bet many leave, and we could watch CtM after as opposed to before.

We do usually stay for the 2nd MSEP but I never noticed the second castle show...I guess we were probably always somewhere in the park where it just wasn't noticeable. We usually watch MSEP back by Pecos Bill's. Sadly, there are currently no 2nd MSEP scheduled for the week we're there...not even on the EMH night -- which surprised me. The last 3 trips in June there have always been 2 parades scheduled. Still keeping my fingers crossed.

I think they have some 2nd MSEP during our week (6/4-6/11) but alas, we will never make it that long with 2 under 5. We plan to watch MSEP from Frontierland as well.
