@yulilin3 Is there a reason that Symphony in the Stars is not listed for Saturday night in May except for May 28?

That's our only DHS day and we'd love to see it, but it's not scheduled. It just doesn't make sense to me that they will show it on a Wednesday, but not a Saturday.

We arrive in Disney World May 20th. I was told there would be a "pause" in the Star Wars fireworks at Hollywood Studios. Is this not true? I hope I had a bad mouse on the phone. I loved the fireworks the night of the debut!

It was posted (on the rumors board, I believe) that the old FW last day was June 3rd, none on the 4th (which is a Saturday, so that will most likely be Club Villain night), and the new ones debut June 5th.

Why would Disney GIVE you a MagicBand for free if you are not staying on property? They are not free to guests, they are paid for via room rates and used for Disney hotel rooms, Disney parking gates, Disney Dining Plans, Charging to Disney hotel rooms ................ and tickets, FP+ and PP which a card will suffice fine.

I wasn't aware? That's why I asked. I thought that MagicBands were the only way to get in and out of the park, etc. I thought the cards were no longer in use.

That's a link to May. If you want any other month, just insert the name in the address bar where "May" currently is. They have current calendars through November.

I'm just now realizing that Wishes is happening the entire week of September 4-10 on this calendar. I thought that they were slowly segueing out of Wishes?

I'm thinking the fireworks may end up being every night during the holiday weekend? Speculation was that they were not scheduled for May on Saturdays due to Club Villain?

that hasn't been a problem before, it might be construction, or that the dessert party hasn't been selling out so they are diminishing the number of fireworks days...

Yep, cards are still provided and in use for park entry and fast passes. You can opt for a magic band, but it's not needed.

Cards do everything MagicBands do other than the active RFID portion. Right now for the guest that is capturing ride photos automatically and adding video component - and any interactives which are just now starting up. For now only 7DMT has no touch point to grab photos from, a MB is necessary for photos ... expect this to be the case for future attractions and gradually all. In time Disney will add more and more features that only a MB can grab but at this time it's not a must have.

I took a special trip down just to do the Osborne Lights. I could sit there for hours. They really were the best thing at the holidays so I hope Disney finds a way to do something similar some where.

I mean, in the end, we're going to purchase the MBs. We've already chosen which ones we'd like (Stormtrooper & Stitch), so, I guess we'll spend the $54 it takes to have one. We could buy it in the parks to avoid the shipping charge, but, meh, why bother? I WANNA WEAR IT ON DA PLANE WITH MY MINNIE EARZ.

I have no first hand knowledge but if the new bunker is up and running, and it's summer crowds, and they are short a few attractions ..... best way to get folks inside (non-hoppers), making ADRs and shifting crowds from other parks .... is to have the best and new fireworks every day. Add that the new show includes projections on the theater .... there isn't a big enough space for all to see it .... they will need to repeat it more so guests have a chance.

Crazy year waiting on all these schedules to get straightened out. But first they have to get things to work ..........

Hahaha! It sure did!

Just got off the phone with a CM named Berenice (BLESS) and she said that Disney is doing a media preview of the Rivers of Light -- RIGHT NOW. She also said that RoL should be up and running Mid-May (but we're skeptics, so grain of salt here).

OK, folks, so, I read info regarding someone else having a situation where one in their party had an AP, which would be active, and the others in the party had PH passes. I think heromyhero answered the OP's question, and since I didn't put two and two together, I didn't pay much attention to the answer. But it occurred to me (better now than later!!!) that I'm in a similar situation, and that I might need to do something for my upcoming trip:

For the upcoming trip leaving this Saturday, the other 3 folks will have PH passes. Since my AP still current, I will be using that. It's a "group" reservation.

In November, I have plans for another trip, but since this one will be AFTER my AP has expired, and I'm probably not going to be renewing, I also included PH passes for both of the traveling parties (this is a MYW package).

QUESTION: How do I make sure that when I go through the tap style, my AP is used and NOT my PH pass intended for that trip in the fall?
