Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Also, with the FEA/A&E M&G thing, have they announced how they will be tiering things yet? It seems like putting TT, Soarin', FEA and the A&E M&G all in one tier is kind of crappy.

And I might very well be booking dining packages from the delivery room! Today I had to register for the Wine and Dine 10K while in the middle of an ultrasound! Thank goodness it turns out my doctor is a runner and understood!

AND????????

Ah, I don't remember hearing about the 17th and 19th change...but maybe didn't pay attention cause we don't arrive until the 23rd...

Thanks for the heads up.

I'm confused by Josh's information. As far as I can tell, there wasn't ever a 17-19 change.... I have a spreadsheet I made ages ago, and the times for those days haven't changed. Last week they did announce the 15/16 swap of MK and EP EMH days.... and it still looks like that swap is still in effect (ie - they didn't change them last week, and then change them back this week). I don't understand his language when he says "they have modified the hours for a second time" - unless the first modification was a while ago?

Am I missing something? I am using the times from the MDE website, which I know is not always the first to see changes to schedules :rotfl2:

AND????????

AND...

nothing. Baby is perfectly happy to sit tight for right now. He's measuring 8lbs 5oz, 21 inches, in the 70th percentile. He was so content in there, opening his eyes and smiling when he heard my voice, at one point I put my hand on my stomach and he reached up with his hand to touch my hand! It was adorable! He does look pretty squashed, but he was moving around like crazy. It's made me even more impatient to meet him - and more than a little concerned about how big he's going to be! But he's happy and doing well, so that's all that matters.

So for now we do nothing. I see my doctor again Friday, and it nothing has happened by Monday we'll schedule an induction. Until then I've been instructed to go for long walks every day, drink lots of water, and relax (HAHAHAHA!)

I looked at the current TA calendar dated 3/18 that I printed out, which was before the Fri/Sat MK swap, and it show the 17th and 19th hours are the same as they are on the website now...so I'm not sure what he's talking about, unless it was old news...

Hi all!

Lurker since post #1. Just wanted to give a heads up that Josh just posted that the EMH for April 15th/April 16th have been swapped between MK and EPCOT. I know quite a few of you are planning to be there during those dates. He is updating his recommended parks for those dates. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but better to know ASAP I figure. Good Luck!! :badpc:

"Disney has modified the Extra Magic Hours schedule over the Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend for a second time. You may remember that last week they swapped the Extra Magic Hours on the 17th and 19th. That means that Epcot will host a morning Extra Magic Hour on Friday April 15th. The Magic Kingdom morning Extra Magic Hour is canceled on that date. On Saturday April 16th, the Epcot morning Extra Magic Hour is canceled and a morning Extra Magic Hour at Magic Kingdom is added."

Unless I'm confused (which is always a possibility), I think we knew this last week - not sure why he's saying changing it a second time. Or at least I knew a couple days ago from somewhere that the pre-park opening BOG ADR for Saturday the 16th I had is now a liability because EMH was switched :( I was just trying to figure out what to do with the ADR, since I can't find anything for later in the morning or afternoon...Thanks for the heads up!

And....:welcome:

I would hold off making plans to do anything in WS prior to 11:00 until it is actually open prior to 11:00.
Yes, it does make the most sense to open both Mexico and Norway at 9:00, leaving the rest of WS till France closed off.
But as we are all learning in regards to RoL they don't always do what makes the most sense.
No need for Mexico, in fact it's better if it stays closed - they already pulled lines close to past there last summer & w/ the low capacity of FEA, it's not gonna get better...I'd also be willing to bet Norway will open w/ RD for the same reason plus they're somewhat used to it, Akershus has been doing PPO breakfast for ages.

OMG...that is so amazing...I have tears in my eyes reading this! But, I bet that now that the doctor has nudged him, you will go tonight or tomorrow...happened to me (40 years ago!) and then to my daughter, as well as others I have talked to over the years. It's like they just get a little more disturbed, and decide "ok, ok, I guess I'm ready!"

No - I was confused too!

Not sure. These aren't my travel dates, so I was just trying to help and pass along info. Sorry all!

If you're making Dining plans during childbirth I now suggest the name ADRianna :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Awwwwww - so sweet! Thanks for keeping us posted!

The fact that you're asking this question - in this thread, no less - is absurd. OF COURSE they haven't announced anything like that, because that information would be useful.

*bitterness off*

I would HOPE they would drop the tiering altogether once Epcot has 4 top-level attractions (including two for the shorter crowd), but I wouldn't count on it. And yes, it would be crappy.

You realize that baby is timing his arrival to the announcement of ROL dining packages. He must be in league with Disney.... now if we could only get Disney to the doctor for a little ROL induction, we would all be happier! :flower1:

And I suggest the name "ROLf"!

Seriously - best of luck and best wishes. My first child was over a week late and I had to be induced. "Relaxing" while waiting was torture. At least you have us the ROL Lounge to keep you company!

None of it makes sense. And it is old news. I'm guessing maybe Josh just found out?
The 5K is at Epcot on 4/15 from 6:00 AM till 9:00 or so. I can't understand how they will have an EMH at Epcot that morning.

Well, you have to go through Mexico to get to Norway. So it can't be roped off.
