I can't remember where I read it (I know, bad DIS'er!) but it looks like their testing the RoL floats now.

Maybe they are feeling comfortable with the testing. One thing about controlled soft openings is they can be cancelled at anytime. A paid for preview wouldn't be something they could just cancel without refunds and complaints.
Well, I suppose I could understand a CM preview, or even soft openings, just because those things are easily cancelled without too many complaints. But I would think DVC and AP previews would be harder to cancel if things aren't working properly. I guess I'd just be surprised if this were true, given that things didn't seem to be going too well.
Pretty much.Does "controlled soft opening" mean I need to do a lot of loitering at AK the week before the 22nd? I would need to schedule more loitering...
Is that the one with the glitter Mickey heads on front and one on the top of the back? I bought that one and the black one with Minnie and Mickey kissing!

How's it going? How's ROLf?
I don't have any room on the schedule for loiteringToo much going on this trip already, bleh.
There have been articles on WDW News TodayI can't remember where I read it (I know, bad DIS'er!) but it looks like their testing the RoL floats now.![]()
I see myself calling my baby Rolf as a nickname and DH looking at me like I've lost my mind! He seems pretty content in there, but tomorrow we have an appointment with the doctor and I'm hoping there is some progress! I've had enough of providing accommodation at this point, he needs to make a move!
I'm still avoiding looking at my itinerary, so what do I know?
Great itinerary! Looks busy but really fun. You definitely have more energy than meI think this is mine (if you want to share yours please do):

Looks like a lot of fun packed in - I don't know if I could make it to Club Villain after doing the 10K in the am! Have you done the HP stuff at Universal before! Can't wait to do that someday! What is cast connections? I really want to get to Trader Sams! We haven't done Chip and Dale campfire...
We may have to adjust our plans for the 22nd, just to stay in AK for the day... I will post our itinerary tomorrow - it will forcer me to look at it, lol! I feel like I have a lot of duplicates and gaping holes because I was trying to be flexible for ROL!
I'm behind so not sure if anyone saw/posted this...but it's an ROL article: http://www.disneytouristblog.com/animal-kingdom-summer-park-hours/
Still mostly rumor and speculation but just FYI.
LOL - Was going to post the same thing. We made the news! LOL"Recently, we’ve been hearing from readers trying to plan summer Walt Disney World vacations, who are concerned about the published hours for Animal Kingdom. Currently, the park has closing times as early as 6 p.m. on nights Rivers of Light will run. Judging by emails we’ve received, social media, and random comments on totally unrelated posts left on the Disney Parks Blog (I suspect the moderators of those comments are themselves getting frustrated), this is the single most-asked question right now when it comes to Walt Disney World trip planning for Summer 2016."
Thanks for posting - look, it's a shout out to our own @KMWoolley and other members of the ROL lounge ! Ha!![]()
