I have maybe news? On another thread a CM posted this, which she says was disclosed to her cm team at a meeting late last week :

Dak hours will be until 9/10pm with the occasional 11pm close on some Friday/Saturdays. There will be a cast preview 12/13 and then dvc/ap previews to follow. Soft opening will start the 19th and go through the 21st, before the official grand opening.

That is interesting.
I'm wondering if that info was posted before WDW made the no go decision on the ROL preview parties, or after.

Saw that too. Strange part, those dates line up with the cancelled preview events
Maybe they have been converted to CM/AP/DVC events?

Oh, no.....Here I go....HOPING again!! Won't I ever learn??!!?
Just a FP...please...just a FP.

I remember reading the post over the weekend. I wonder when the CM read the info from the Hub? (If that's where they got it?)
It does sound an awful lot like what we heard originally - before the updates last week. Will be interesting to see if this person responds to other questions on that list. Please keep up in the loop over here in the support group....er....I mean LOUNGE...

Ahhh, I had just come to terms that I wouldn't be seeing ROL on this trip. Now it's back to maybe...

It does sound like that. Just to add, I edited my post you quoted. I needed to correct my thoughts...that's what I get for dual tasking and not reading completely.

It is possible the person posted it elsewhere too.
The post they made in the thread referenced above was today
They said it was announced to them in a meeting

Maybe they are feeling comfortable with the testing. One thing about controlled soft openings is they can be cancelled at anytime. A paid for preview wouldn't be something they could just cancel without refunds and complaints.

Well, I suppose I could understand a CM preview, or even soft openings, just because those things are easily cancelled without too many complaints. But I would think DVC and AP previews would be harder to cancel if things aren't working properly. I guess I'd just be surprised if this were true, given that things didn't seem to be going too well.
