I'm feeling a bit *resentful* today in my trip planning today.

Is there a *resentful* emoji?

And Thread Nostalgia Day did not turn out at all like I hoped, what with all the Disney After Hours hullabaloo.

Our "Good Day AK" blog post was almost 48 hours ago - "very soon?"

Their chat is so weird. I am used to being put in a queue until the next person is available but apparently not so with the Disney guest. I guess I'll just email them then. Didn't have a question about any reservations etc. just a complaint - and no, not about RoL ;)

I have twice gone through the emailed complaint route and both times I received a personal phone call, which is quite impressive in my opinion. They don't always address your concerns (see my RoL post yesterday about my complaint call), but it is a very personal touch instead of a quick email to you.

NOt sure if I saw that post - I was in and out yesterday - but will take a look. Beyond frustrated at this point...

Now we get to find out what the new "Disney Early Morning Magic" is. They can roll out 2 new special events, yet they can't release FP+ for opening night of ROL. :rolleyes: Sigh.
 
I complained about the ROL fiasco and got someone from guest services phone but although very nice, same old message.
Magic definitely disappearing, which is a big thing for me as all of us!

I know! I would really like to find out the Early Morning Magic. If yesterday is any indication, whatever it is may directly impact my trip that starts in 23 days! I feel like I'm having to rethink plans based upon how the Evening Magic After Hours will affect MK...
 
Ugh. I'm about to use our AK day as an extra MK day or maybe just cancel our trip altogether. First they pushed back FEA. Okay things happen with construction.

Then they cancelled Wishes FP. I know it's not necessary. But we have a 7:00 ADR and can't stake out spots early. I have littles who tried to see it twice before but got crowded out. It was one of our must do items this trip. Now they've added an evening after hours event to our MK day which is going to bump up the crowds.

And 30 days out ftom debut with with no reservations or FP+s available yet... I'm afraid AK evenings will just be a madhouse in May. It's my favorite park & I wanted to show my family how magical it could be. RoL could be a perfect way to end our May trip. Or chaos & crowds could ruin it. :(

I'm just not feeling the magic anymore.
Curious about the statement in bold..... How can it be pushed back when no date was ever given for it to open?
 
I feel like I should be planning better, but every morning, I open Touring Plans, see my counter go down by one day, realize I have no new info, and just sort of stare sadly.

16 days until we lose our 60 day advantage & the best I can think is, "At least we aren't going in April."

Last week, when I psychologically "let go" of getting a preview party (not giving up hope, but rather moved on mentally since I couldn't do anything about it), I went through my itinerary and made adjustments and plans as best that I could, leaving openings and flexibility and yada yada yada. Since then, the changes keep coming and impacting my plans. That would be fine if the planning piece wasn't a big factor in a expensive Disney trip, but we know better...

and tomorrow, we've totally lost OUR on-property advantage - 31 days out. This stinks.
 
I'm going to be honest here and say emailing guest relations often does nothing. You'll just get a standard Disney have a magical day type response. I'd suggest emailing people a bit higher up like Jenn from the blog.

I don't think Jenn would have been the right person for my issue since it's not RoL related. It's really just a very unpleasant (and in Europe unlawful) encounter with a "Disney Featured Provider". I just wanted to tell them about my problems with the company and how I think it puts a very bad light on Disney.

Then I would email executives. Guest services isn't going to do much.
