I got my ticket with Donald Duck. Then two weeks later, my friends ticket came as Minnie Mouse. We will have magic bands coming next month

We got our WDW tickets in the mail yesterday. I'm dreading showing them to my boys because they sent us 4 Minnie Mouse tickets! This is gonna be so awesome trying to figure out which Minnie tickets belongs to whom for finger printing (yes, I will write names on the back)... I am already hearing my DS7 say "but I don't want a Minnie Mouse ticket!" Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and buy us all magic bands - especially after seeing the purple ones.

At the parks, we don't have characters on ticket cards anymore, we have attractions. If your son really doesn't want a Minnie card, come by a ticket window at any park with a photo of the visual ID (the number on the back of the card that you'd use to link it to MDE) and tell us his ticket was lost. We'll give him a new card, and only two out of 23-ish of the new ones are "girly" - one has Minnie from a M&G and one has Elsa from the DHS stage show. So your chance of getting a "boy-acceptable" card for him are pretty good.

(Edit: I lied, there's also a Belle card for ETWB, so three out of 23-ish. Still good odds!)

Thank you so much for that info! I'll see if we will do that or just get magic bands instead. Nice to know though that we could "exchange" the ticket for a different one. It's not the end of the world that he has Minnie on it but I think its gonna be a hassle for me keeping them apart...

Is the matching luggage tag just for AP holders? Or does everyone with a MYW package get them?

Got mine with a room+tickets package (no dining plan). Didn't get one last time when I got a package through rundisney. I need to hunt around for this on a rundisney thread, but does anyone happen to know if the days of rundisney discounts are over? (planning for wine and dine) Sorry

Last year my boys did not like their ticket characters. We took them to the ticket counter at Epcot and they exchanged them for us no problem. It did take a little time. We arrived the day before we went to the parks so we didn't have to use valuable park time to do it.

I must have spoken with a "friend of Maggie" this morning. When I asked if ROL dining packages are available to book yet, she said she would have to transfer me to reservations in order to get the dining plan. I explained I did not want to add the dining plan to my reservation, but only to book a ROL if available. She then looked in her notes and said that it starts on the April 22nd. I should call back on the 22nd to get a reservation.

Here's an UPDATE: TA Calendar has a new "edit date" of 3/18 - unfortunately still shows AK closing at 6 or 6:30, at least for April and May, which are the only ones I looked at...shows the MK extended closing time of 11 rather than 10. BOOOOOOOOO!!!
