I think that you are Cammy and this is your strategy for getting a pay rise. Nice try.Don't want to start a panic but I have heard a rumor that Cammy Smith will be leaving Mason Title. Can anyone verify???
That's because Cammy is the Escrow Officer, but her assistant Emily does the work in the trenches. I have had 7 resale purchases through Mason, and Cammy has been the Escrow Agent on every one (the last 6 by my choice), and I've never had a single glitch or slip up. Always found her to be very communicative, but sometimes responses do come back from Emily. I'm on #8 with a different escrow company (Mason doesn't handle Aulani contracts) and am already disappointed in both their speed and lack of communication (and I don't ask many questions at this point).Everyone always raves about her here. But she was assigned to our contract and I barely had any dealings with her. The escrow lady we had was way more helpful when I had questions.
I didn't call, but I did tell her over email while going through closing last year and told her the Dis was basically one big fan letter to her.Someone should call Mason and ask, and if she is let her know what a legend she is in these parts.
Had her for our resale purchase and she was amazing.
Emily no longer works for Mason. Cammy informed me about this last week when I inquired about the status of my closing. That's because Cammy is the Escrow Officer, but her assistant Emily does the work in the trenches. The best closing is one where you have as few direct interactions with the Escrow Agent as possible, beyond receiving and returning your documents.
That's unfortunate. I had a contract close with them just a few weeks ago and Emily handled the docs.Emily no longer works for Mason. Cammy informed me about this last week when I inquired about the status of my closing.
I wonder if that's how the rumor about Cammy started?Emily no longer works for Mason. Cammy informed me about this last week when I inquired about the status of my closing.
Odd because I got notification from FEDEX that my closing documents were received and signed for by Emily (yesterday).Emily no longer works for Mason. Cammy informed me about this last week when I inquired about the status of my closing.
Yeah, I'm in the middle of my first non-Mason closing after the last 6 with them, and it's a significant difference. 8 days after ROFR and zero word from anyone (and no response to several emails).Who knows what's going on then. I'm only going off the response I got from Cammy. I wish everyone the best regardless. I'm just waiting for my closed email from the title company.
Yes - I had the same experience as you, and Mason took longer than First American on my last resale purchase.Everyone always raves about her here. But she was assigned to our contract and I barely had any dealings with her. The escrow lady we had was way more helpful when I had questions.
I would guess that those of us who've had literally hundreds of very positive experiences, versus your single negative one, would probably beg to differ. If the rumor's true, I wish her well, but I will not see it as such a great loss.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.I would guess that those of us who've had literally hundreds of very positive experiences, versus your single negative one, would probably beg to differ.
Weird that it didn't get forwarded to someone else at that business.FWIW - I sent an email to both Cammy and Emily yesterday and Emily's bounced back with: Delivery to the following recipients failed permanently. That may confirm that she is no longer at Mason.
