I heard from a pretty reliable source that IOA has plans for an answer to Expedition Everest...Sadly I had little time for conversation at that moment but later realized I hadn't read anything here yet...Anyone??? Bueller???

Although the next new ride will definitely be in IOA, I haven't heard anything about it.

That's funny. I actually consider Expedition Everest to be Disney's answer to Revenge of the Mummy :rotfl: :rotfl:

LOL figment.... I was just about to say the same thing

Wow...You don't want to hear legitimate rumors here?

Mummy is a great ride but is more like a response to RnR than than a precursor to the truly awesome E:E. B

Look, I have a good source and I thought I'd share what I heard and ask if any of you so called USF experts had heard anything, instead I get ********.

That's not exactly anything substantial as far as a rumor.

I don't think they were trying to be rude with their replies.

I have not heard any rumors of new attractions at IOA since the last rumors of a new Jurassic Park area ride over a year ago

A tad sensitive, are we?

We USF experts hear a lot of stuff; mostly unsubstantiated rumors. I don't know what you expect us to tell you - maybe you should have asked this person for details yourself, seeing as you were there. Then maybe you could legitimately refer to them as a source of something. "Universal is planning an answer to Everest" is not only an extremely vague and rather meaningless statement, it is not something someone in the know would say. Universal has no need to "answer" Everest.

And Mummy was not a response to any Disney attraction, FYI. It was in development long before either RnRC or Everest. I'm not quite sure what it has in common with RnRC to begin with. :confused3 It's only relation to Everest is the usage of similar technology, which Mummy utilized first.

I can see that no one here has heard anything and I that made a mistake in doing my fishing here and sharing my enthusiasm for something I thought positive. Sorry. ;)

Actually I thought that EE was Disney's answer to the Hulk and the Dwelling Dragons...

:)

Actually the only rumor I have heard is about a ride in the jurassic park area. That rumor has been around since before Mummy was finished and before EE was announced. I don't know how true the rumor is but I don't think it was in answer to EE seeing how I heard about it long before EE.

I hope I am vague enough. ;) The ride itself sounds very exciting but, as of yet, nothing official has been announced. All I've seen are height balloons a few years ago.

Actually, I too thought the theming of EE was similar to the Mummy, with it being a themed coaster, the backwards part to get away from the villain, etc. Either way, I'll enjoy them both.

That I heard. The Jeep ride and I think there is a piece of land reserved for that ride.
