Rumor: No More 3 FP+ limits.

Someone posted in another thread that they had done it and they got the other FPs at another park after hopping. I will see if I can find the thread again and post the link in here.

That one person reported doing this weeks ago. And I haven't seen a single report yet of someone else saying they have done this.

:confused3 just saw it posted today so I have nothing else to go on besides that one claim that is has been done and non saying it has not been done to this point so no idea. All I know is that if so this will be great for my kids and I as we will be able to fill up on FPs in the AM and get more when they are done before they are all gone in the afternoon.

He keeps posting that. It comes up over and over. I'm not saying it's not true. I hope it is true. And I'm not saying things aren't about to change. Because they likely are. I'm just saying I'd like to see a report from a second poster before I believe things have indeed already changed.

We tried it after he posted it, granted we didn't follow exactly what he did, we used a Magic Band instead of a card, it didn't work. Something like that not working with a Magic Band tells me that it's not an intentional change to the system yet. If it was, there wouldn't be any hoops to jump through, it would work at a kiosk or with MDE, and it would work with any valid ticket media. There would be no "you have to do this, at this place, after you've done this, etc."

I'd put money on something coming soon that lets people get more than 3 FP, I just don't think it's been fully rolled out yet. Any reported method I've seen so far is all about using loopholes people have discovered.

I just think that once it happens, this place will light up like a Christmas tree. That just hasn't been the case yet.

It is difficult to tell the difference between a change and a glitch. Especially when there is difficulty repeating it.

If only works in a very specific circumstance (must use a kiosk, must use a card and not a band, etc.), it screams to me that it's a glitch.

Also, don't forget that KennyThePirate figured out how to get unlimited FP+s, and posted the procedure...and they fixed that glitch pretty quick. :)

Honestly, I'd like to know from the hardcore old school FP+ people. How many Toy Story Mania passes could you normally get in a day?

Usually 3, assuming I got there at RD and went to FP machine first. However, you had to constantly be checking FP times and come back right when your old pass could be used. Then immediately go to FP machine and get another pass. Usually by the time I was able to get a 3rd pass, it was for late in the evening. There may have been times (on a really, really slow rainy day) where I could have gotten 4 but never had the desire.

I agree.

[note: I edited as it was too early in the morning...]

If I got there at rope drop at 9am and got a FP immediately, at best it would be for about 45-60 minutes later - and sometimes even later than that if you were far back in the crush to get them. Call it an hour to simplify, 10am. Using the old 4-1 time ratio I've measure there (not even on a super-busy day - and before they slowed loading down somewhat at TSM), if I then got another Fastpass at 10am, it would likely be for 2pm, and the earliest I could get another would be noon. At noon, it would likely be for 6pm, with another possible at 2pm, and by then the times would be past 10pm _and_ they were often gone before then.

It got worse later on, with them almost always running out before noon...

The only reason I asked is I think this ride is the only one you probably won't be able to duplicate the same result as the old system with what the rumored/reported system is evolving to.

Interesting options, but wonder what FPs will be left day of, and for what time? We aren't park commandos that stay from open to close. Currently what has sorta worked for us to get more then 1 ride on our favs is to get to RD, ride favs on standby before crowds build, then do our booked FPs. Depending on which park, I start booking FPs for 10:00 or 11:00 time slots.
Glad someone is listening at Disney. My biggest wish is to get rid of the tiers!!!

Just read in another thread that you absolutely are unable to get more passes from a kiosk once you've used the ones you chose online. That would be great, if they're moving towards this.

The survey I received last week asked about 3 different variables for getting more fast passes and what I though of them and how it would have changed my touring from January.

1. After you used your 3 fastpasses another opened up after 1PM that day and after you used that one you could continue to refill it.

2. Basically the same as number 1 but without having to wait until after 1pm. It would be open immediately after all 3 were used.

3. You could hold 3 fastpasses at once and once you used one you could get another.

I know I will get flamed but I'm ready. :firefight Why does a family/couple/solo traveler/guest-of-any-sort need more than 3 fastpasses in a day? I find this to be incredibly greedy. In any given park, there are about 3 big attractions (give or take). Is it absolutely necessary to ride those 3 biggies over and over and over again with little wait? Hey - I get it. I love Disney too. But, seriously? Why is it undesirable to have to share? This thread is making me shake my head.

I asked this same question before. It didn't go well.....

Did FP legacy prevent people from having to share? Everyone had an equal chance to get the passes.

Well...you can't see it, but others I'm sure can.

And FP+ doesn't even let you ride all three "biggies" as it is in Epcot or DHS.

3 was chosen because it was approximately the average number of Fastpasses used by guests (I believe it was slightly less than 3?). The funny thing about averages though...no one is. And it isn't even necessarily where the "50%" line is either.

How is it that people weren't sharing under legacy FP? Were they blocking access to the kiosks for the other guests?
