I don't see using the same crew to build identical rides as a bad thing. I think it is probably more time efficient and likely reduces errors.

I agree. It makes way more sense to use the same crew than to use a completely different crew. I am not sure how this actually saves money either. Isn't the cost of travel, housing, etc going to cost them MORE money?

They wouldn't cut a show in June because of entertainment announced in September. It lines up with the unionization of entertainment cast.

Eh...there is no doubt this is cost-saving but whether or not it has to do with unionization is still up for debate. I don't think summer is high season for Disney from a financial perspective. Also, summer (July-September) is the last quarter of Disney's fiscal year. The practice these days generally seems to be to maximize profit as much as possible for this quarter to give the impression of a stronger finish even during a softer attendance time. All of these steps Disney is taking, pausing Magic Key sales so blocked out passholders are pushed to buy a ticket rather than upgrade, ticket promotions for a resort that is perceived to have a lot of construction projects going and not offering anything particularly new for the summer, the act of not offering anything particularly new and exciting for the summer, and then actually cutting back on current offerings...these all sound like things designed to drive profit up a bit higher than it should be for current circumstances.
