Rumor is REAL I eat crow!!!

The wine add-on sounds pretty good. As long as the options are reasonable and not just the cheapest wines.

That's what I thought, but Disney has not released a wine list and of course the places with the "good wine lists" (Jiko, California Grill) are two credits or $80. IMHO without seeing a "list of wines" that you can get I would hold off spending this money! If all they give you is the $45 bottles but you want the $90 then.....

'THESE ARE THE DVC ONLY PLANS"

The dining plan: 37.99 10 older 9.99 child {NO STATER OR TIP INCLUDED}

Deluxe plan:69.99 adult/ jr 19.99 child(STARTER INCLUDED) NO tip INCLUDED

Disney plus/wine&dine:39.99 per room per night and you need a plan to get it>

SORRY IT TOOK A WHILE TO GET THE ANSWER FOR YOU >>

If "starter"= appetizer, that means that to have an appetizer with your meal, it'll cost you $32 more per day. :scared1: What are they serving................beluga caviar? :rotfl2:

What am I missing here?

Yep we take a huge hit so they can offer free dining once a year lol

What if you eat at buffet or family style dining? If all the same Locations are on the plan, you can find plenty of spots that offer way too much food, Only loss would be the tip. Guess we will see how it all plays out.

The deluxe includes three meals per night which can be TS or QS. Also two snacks/day and a mug per person on reservation. No gratuities. Signature restaurants count as two meals.

Disney is already cutting back... at Mama Mel Rose this May, no bread and the large family style salad, gone! I loved that salad. I am waiting to see if the next thing they do is cut back on the Family style, Nothing will surprise me! :confused3

Just curious - where you are guys seeing the confirmation that the regular and deluxe plans will be offered to DVC, but the premium and platinum will not be available for DVC?

Dborges was told by MS that the basic, deluxe and wine plans were options.

I gather he didn't ask about the others but neither were they offered to him.

BTW, David thank you for the answer on prices.:thumbsup2

(Personally I am considering writing and congratulating Disney. Maybe you won't have to make dinner reservations 6 months in advance if they quit giving away food!!!)

CarolA.... ITA !!:thumbsup2

Also I think I will start a Rumor Maybe if we the DVC members make enough noise they will make a specail perk for dvc and let us have it the way it was..

Or they could just take the perk away from DVC completely.

Is that true that the new DDP may not be offered to DVC owners???!!!!!!!!

No, I'm just saying that if we complain TOO much the powers that be could decide that offering us that "perk" is more trouble than it's worth. All DVC perks are subject to change at a moment's notice...

You know what they say the squeekey wheel gets the grease...

Actually, they also say, "The squeaky wheel doesn't always get the grease. Sometimes it gets replaced!"

Sorry for the off topic . . . just couldn't resist! :)

Yep they did do the ddp changes but good news for DVC members we can buy any tier of it..

To all the people whom I posted its rumor .I have this too say I was wrong it is not not it is in writting and official.
BUt it is not set in stone and is subject too change if enough of us voice displeasure over the newDDp I for one have contacted member satifaction team at DVC and put it in writting..

Let Mr John Garcia Know we do not like it ..

You know what they say the squeekey wheel gets the grease..

Once again Sorry about the Rumor Stuff!!!!!!!!

I have to say that people on the restaurant board were even talking about how adament you (not you by name) were that the changes would NOT happen. I usually don't even read these boards anymore, but I could not resist checking when I heard a thread got closed because of this. :goodvibes

Also, DVC has nothing, nothing to do with what is or is not included in the dining plans. That is Walt Disney dining and the Walt Disney travel company you would have to complain to. The gratuity thing is a done deal-union contract between servers and Disney. No plan is going to include that for 2008. A lot of people are very happy with the addition of the Deluxe plan. Us for example! When I added it to my room only May 08 Beach Club ressie this morning the CM told me she has been adding it to packages all morning. She said lots of people didn't like the CS part of the old plan, but didn't want to pay for the premium plan with all the extras like water craft, and tours. She said this plan is perfect for people who love signatures. She's right with this plan you can do a character breakfast and California Grill for dinner all for only 69.99! Not mention the 2 snack credits you could use for soda and Mickey ice cream bar lunch! :thumbsup2 :mickeybar

It takes a big person to write a post like this. Most people never do!:thumbsup2

So does this mean that three TS credits per day are interchangable? In other words, you can use one for breakfast and two for dinner rather than having to use the breakfast at breakfast only, lunch at lunch only, etc.??

So if it starts in 2008, wonder how they deal with stays that straddle new years? i have 2 days before NY, and two days after!

TreesyB,
This is what happened to us this past NYE: We checked into the BCV on 31 Dec 06 and checked out 7 Jan 07. We paid the 06 rate for our entire stay. :thumbsup2

Someone posted on the DDP forum that the deluxe will work just as the DDP has. All credits can be used in any order.

It is per night not per day though.
