Heath Ledger might get an Oscar for his role as the Joker, in "The dark night"

What are your opinions?

Post away!
---

I think he deserves it, yes it will be EXTREMELY emotional, but Heath Ledger is amazing, he always has been.

I guess I will REALLY have my answer as soon as I see the picture.

Rest in peace Heath.
We all love you.

I really hope he does. I still get really sad when I think about his death. :sad1:

Only the good die young.

i love him....i hate clowns and he pretty much played one in the new movie..and it killed him...i hate freakin clowns even more.

Well I don't want this to sound heartless. I think he should get one...if his performance WARRANTS one. They shouldn't give him one because he is sadly dead. Just my two cents.

No I agree completely.

His role as the joker didnt kill him.

He obviously didnt get that involved. That wouldve been a bit MUCH.

I bought my advane tickets today for batman tho. Im quite excited.

I thought it was his drugs that overlapped, isnt thats what killed him?

:sad1: *"

People are saying he got too into the role and he got depressed and took drugs and the drug overdose killed him.

I agree.. but at that same token

i dont want him to NOT get it.. because people WILL think that..

it's a confusing matter lol

I feel so bad about his death, but I'm not so sure.
I was on myspace and he scared me half to death.
I'm freakishly afraid of clowns.
Especially Stephen King's It;;
O.o

I've only ever seen one movie that he's in (The Patriot, which I love) but I still can't really get over the fact that he died on my BIRTHDAY.
=(
It's kind of upsetting.

I love Heath and I from what I have seen and heard so far, it looks as if he is going to be nominated. I think that he deserves it. I also think that he deserved an oscar for Brokeback Mountain which he didn't get

i bought my advanced tickets for the dark knight already. :goodvibes
i've been so excited for this movie for about 2 years!!

from what i've seen/heard...Heath does and AMAZING job as the Joker.
we'll have to see f it's oscar-worthy.
but I hope they don't give him a "sympathy" oscar if someone has a better/more deserving performance. I'm not so sure if Heath would have appreciated that?
i didn't really hear any oscar buzz until after his death :confused3

but i think the movie looks GREAT and it looks like heath AND everyone else involved did an AMAZING job!

If you've seen the trailer's, he deserves it. His joker is pure genious.

He did a really dark movie before he played the joker, too. He did them in quick succession. Right after he finished the first one, he started TDK and he got really into both roles. Part of the reason he was on those meds in the first place was because the roles were starting to haunt him. He was depressed because of the dark roles he was taking.
