I took this when we first got on the magical express bus. Look at how different reese looks from the last trip we took.( I say this like you all know what she liked like on our first trip) She is growing up so fast. I love her with bangs, but she regrets ever getting them.

SO we finish up our wonderful food and head to "It's tough to be a bug" The wait wasn't too bad, we took lots of pics

Coach, Coley and Reese.

(again I apologize for it's size and that's it's the only only one I have for now. I will get it worked out cause gosh darn it, I got some cute pics to show)

I knew the tree had animal carvings, but this was something we didn't do on our last visit, I never got up close to the tree and therefore did not know just how many carvings there wee and how detailed, I was in awe, COley and I were snapping pictures like crazy.

We are the first go in to the auditorium and it's a stampede I guess people were afraid they wouldn't get a seat, we let people push and run by, I wanted to hold out for a middle of the theater seat, funny though how people don't get it when they are told to go to the end of row, they always seem to stop in the middle, so a family was gumbling when a CM made them get up and move, I was thinking that's what you get for hurrying, good things come to those who wait. We weren't dead center but not at the end either. I was excited for this. I love new things, I know this wasn't new to the park, just to us. I liked the whole story, reese and Coley kept flipping out over their hair, they spent so much time straightening it and were afraid it was going to curl from all the moisture in the air. Reese was stuffing her hair into her hoodie and holding her purse over her face.

I love how at the end they ask you to let the creatures depart first, I thought it was a little strange, then I got it when one by one almost like doing the wave at baseball game people were jumping out of their seats and screaming, Reese jumped on me, I love surprises like that.

We left and made our way to camp MinnieMickey, This area was so cute, again, I didn't do this last time, I took lot's of pictures, they had christmas trees for each character. Loved them all.

We decided to see Donald first. Never realized just how short he is. I had to go through all my cardstock to find a suitable color, this was a constant while I was at Disney, I wanted the signatures on the paper to match the character or their outfit. It's a scrapbooker thing. Donald was cool, for some reason I thought he would be angry, he always seems to be angry in all of his cartoons, I was a bit nervous to meet him, but he turned out to be a real gem of a duck. Coach T got a kick out of that. She thinks the characters aren't real

Next was Minnie, I had skipped over Goofy since I had seen him earlier and didn't want him to think I was stalking him. Minnie was dressed in her Christmas outfit, I told her I loved her skirt, she did her cover up the face I'm blushing thing, we all got our pictures, and was heading over to see Mickey, imagine my excitement, I didn't see this guy on my last trip, this trip was planned in part just to see him. He is the Elvis of Disney and I was going to meet him. We start up the walk when Reese says she has to go to the bathroom.

ME: Can you hold it for 10 minutes please?
Reese: no, I gotta go now.
Me: what are you, 3?
Reese: I need to go now.
Coach: Let's all go.
Me: no it will take too long, what if Mickey leaves?
Reese: What are you, 3?
Me: touche you little brat, fine let's all make it quick.

So we go into the potty room, and Reese asked if anyone else butt was still hurting from it's tough to be a bug. We all look at her like she is nuts, she swears she has a bruise from it, we can't help but laugh at her, only Reese can get a butt injury while watching a show, then she says all concerned "What if it left a dent?" There was no holding back on that one, and she was so serious about it, she thinks we didn't see her checking out her derrier in the mirror. It wasn't dented. And I doubt it was bruised, I think she is just uber sensitive when it comes to her hind end.

We get back in line for mickey, it's longer now, I give Reese the evil eye.
I love being behind little ones when meeting characters, the looks on their faces and the way they interact. It makes me want to have a baby just so i can take it to meet mickey.

Mickey was everything I thought he would be. he got a little confused with the sharpie, I handed it to him ink side down, but he flipped it over, so I fixed it for him but then he flipped it again, so the CM had to show him. I think he might get a little woozy from all that sharpie ink inhalation. I know I did. not really... I told him I liked his Christmas sweater and he tried his best to sign language back that he liked mine, or...maybe it wasn't my sweater he liked, he pointed towards my chest, I assume he meant sweater.

We decided after that to try and catch finding Nemo, so we head in that direction, we make it as far as the Bone yard and Reese syas her knee is killing her. we all thought it be best if we go back to the resort and take a break, We could always come back to find Nemo later, plus we had ADR's at Planet Hollywood and knew there would be alot of walking that night.

We make the hike back to the buses and do not have to wait long for one, and we were the only ones on it so we were able to put our feet up and relax.

Back at Pop we rest in the room, coach and I take time to journal our events of the day, I do it for the sake of scrapbooking, she does it so she can remeber everything and laugh at me or blackmail me for it later. Reese took more Motrin and changed her outfit a few times.

I also called home and talked to Jim, kent hadn't gotten home yet. SO Jim and i talked about a song he was writing, he tried to play it for me but it was hard for me to hear it. Gosh I was missing him.

Sorry I can't help with the picture thing, the only site I know of is photobucket but I am sure there is another site out there. You are right Reese does look so much older since the last trip, I too like the bangs.

I use shutterfly and haven't had any problems at all. We need more pictures, you have posted about 8 out of a gazillion so I know there are more.

Reese has grown up so much! I love the bangs! Isn't that the style nowadays? (gosh, I sound so old.) Can't wait for more pictures. It sounds like you guys had so much fun...and this is only your first park day! Can't wait for more.

Oh, and let the girls know just how lucky they are to have semi-straight hair in Florida. When I go in August, I'm not even sure if a ponytail can hold in the poof that is my hair. Carrot Top has nothing on me when my 'do hits humidity!

Ty, Good luck to you guys too! Also, we aren't going to reach for the beach but to Beast of the East in Wildwood NJ (I think). Also we will try to q ualify for final desitination in Virginia Beach VA (we have lots of family there).

Maybe we will see in a week in Reading (nice trip for us, only 20 minutes from home).

pjstevens Hi thanks for the compliment on Reese, I would like to take all the credit for her beauty...heck, I think I will! J/K. Thanks for the PM I tried that website, and as you can see in my test post #65, that was all I was able to do. I am so computer iliterate. LOL

Lifelong Dreamer It's like Reese grew up over night, one day she was a little girl, the next, a young lady who frets over her hair and butt.
I was so relieved to see Mickey! That is no longer looming over me like a dark cloud.

ILMICKEY yes! 3 posts! slacker! no really, I surprised myself too. I am trying everything I can to get pics posted, I took tons ya know.
Yes, the quest for Mouse is over. I have a new quest now, it's to find Nemo, we never did go back to see the show, it's top of my list now.

xoprincessmomxo I will tell Reese you like the bangs too. She is the only one who doesn't. Really there wasn't any humidity while we were there, they lucked out huge. We had so much fun. I really can't wait to get more into the trip report, our MGM day was amazing, that isn't until day 3.

disneygirlinnj Thank you. I do think the pics are awkwardly huge though.

dddisrunner Reese did dye her hair, she was going for a darker brown to get rid of her summer highlights and it turned black almost. she looks more like her brother now more than ever.

ElizaB39 Holy cow, we are going to be at the same competition! Feb 2nd. Reese competes senior level 2. I am busy making spirit crew shirts for all the moms. Our colors are also Red Black and silver, we have the gladiator style skirts and of course the half shell. If you see Reese or I don't be a stranger, come say hello.

After a quick refresher at the resort we head down to the bus stop to head to Downtown Disney. The bus ride was uneventful, the girls were just laughing and having a good time, I was trying to get ahold of Kent. Coach was handling some business crisis. It seemed like the bus ride took a long time, but when we got there we had about an hour and a half to shop as we made our way to Planet Hollywood. Our first stop was Wonderful world of memories. not alot had changed since my last time there, the christmas scrapbooking pack had changed, it was the old fashioned Mickey and minnie and the colors of the papers and borders, and dye cuts were bergundy and brown, this was disapointing to me, here I am at Disney during the christmas season, there are millions of lights and bright colors and they give me bergundy and brown in my christmas scrapbooking kit, I bought it anyway. I also bought the 2007 kit, I still had alot left from my other kits from last time, I was way under budget when I left that store, but that's ok, I can make it up in the next one.

We went into the christmas store and for the life of me I could not decide which ornament I wanted, and I left that place empty handed. I know, right?

We then went into world of Disney, it was packed, you could hardly move, this was the only place that I saw alot of the pop warner crowd. We didn't make alot of purchases hear, we knew we would be coming back. We mostly just walked and took alot of pictures, just enjoying the night, we ended up having to speed walk to get to our ADR, my calves were on fire by the time we got there.

WE were seated right away on the second floor, right smack in the center of it all. I loved this place, it made me miss Jim, I know he would have liked it too. Right away the cameras came out, so did the video camera, we sang all the songs we knew, just lots of fun. Kent called me then but I couldn't hear a word he was saying, he asked me later if we had gone to a club. I don't think he believed me until I got home and he could see for himself on the video just how loud this place was, I mean c'mon, it had a deejay.

I got the bruchetta as the appetizer, it was super yummy, but still does not match what Coach can make in her kitchen. Close really, but no cigar! I did eat everybit of it though. I don't know what the others got, I was all about what I was eating. For the main course I got the chicken fajitas. Very good! I tried to eat it all but I needed to save room for dessert, which was the cheese cake. Lovely it was!

At one point I went and checked out the bathrooms, I was pretty sure they would be cool too and they were, so I told the girls to check it out and wouldn't you know, it became a full on picture extravaganza.

We were so full when we left, we were just gonna catch the bus down at that end, but we figured it would be full, so we walked back to the first stop. It was full too but we did get to sit, the people at the next stop had to stand.

Back at the resort the girls went and dropped their stuff off in the room and left to go meet people. They were such social butterflies. I slipped into my Mickey christmas Jammies went down to the pop shop for some hot coco and called Kent. He was having all kinds of misery. I'd like to say it was because he was missing me, but it wasn't. He had done a concrete job for Kmart back in August and still hadn't been paid for it. They had told him that day his check was being held because his insurance wasn't enough, he needed to purchases another $700,000 <- that is no typo friends. they let him do the job when his business was insured for $300,000 but they can't pay him until he's insured for 1million. So this was on my mind, thinking cripe once we pay for that policy what kind of profit will Kent have made in the end? I'll just tell you quick that we found a good deal, Kent still made a profit but the check didn't come till after Christmas. Sorry I got so off topic, but that whole mess affected my spending cash frame of mind and I didn't shop like I wanted to.

I finished my coco by the pool then went up to the room, Coach was working on her puter, she had also emptied my pictures from my camera onto her lap top and burned them onto a Cd, so I would start over with an empty memory card the next day.

I took a shower, rinsed away my first full day at Disney. I got my jammies on again and crawled into bed, it was almost 11:00, I called Reese and told her to come back now, but they had met some more CM's and wanted to hang out longer, /FONT]

I talked to Coley, the next day was her birthday and asked her what time she wanted to go to the park, she wanted to sleep in a little so she said if we left the resort by 10:00am that would be great, so we told the girls to be in the room by midnight and no complainging when they were tired tomorrow.

I was cringing a little bit. even if all went great at the buses tomorrow we still would even get to the kingdom until almost 11:00am, that is such wasted time, but it was COley's day , so I sat back and learned to live with it.

Coach had offered me some pills for back and body, I said no, didn't need them, I was feeling great and I give all the credit to the crocs. Not a single blister, no achey muscles, no joint pain. This day made me a true believer in crocs.

The girls came in close to 12 Reese jumped in the shower and then into bed, we all talked for a few minutes, reliving our day, our favorites our so-so favorites. Coach started snoring and it wasn't long before we all fell asleep.

I had already crossed so many things off of my list. I had made a rope drop and saw the opening ceremony. I rode safari and I met Mickey. This was going to be a very dream recognizing vacation. I know I was smiling when I fell asleep, I couldn't stop, I even felt a little ridiculous smiling in the dark, but I couldn't stop. I had been counting down for a year and here my first full day at Disney was over and it was a good day at that.

Hi Ty, We are junior co-ed level 3, regular straight skirt with little slit on one side, shells are full length in back, small triangle cut out in front where the belly section is. long sleeve mock necks for underneath.

What is your team name again?

Love those gladiator skirts by the way! DD just made me add the cheerleader!

ElizaB39 Tomorrow is the big day. Reese's first time competeting as an All Star. Out uniforms did not get in on time, so they are going to just wear black sofee shorts and a red T-shirt. Kind of a bummer for such a big day, oh well.

ILMICKEY Hey, everything is ok, just super busy. It's funny ya know, I thought after my trip I would have all this time write my report and read everyone elses and here I can barely find the time to even get on line. BUt Red Lion is over, our season end party is Monday, I don't have any silk screening jobs on the board so I should be able to get back to the disboards soon. I sure miss it here.
