It would be really, really nice if we could not go there on this thread. We're down to 1 thread now and I'd like to keep it. It's clear what the policy is.
2 pmWhat time is the meeting today where Universal is supposed to present their re-opening plans?
Some sort of capacity limit like they do at the restaurants I imagine. But this is why Disney faces a lot of challenges that other resorts don't. The monorail is a challenge, but so are the MK and Epcot/HS boats, the skyliner, indoor shows, outdoor shows, rides like Buzz Lightyear that are constantly moving/loading and have people using the same guns over and over, etc.
To me this rolling cancellation stuff is crazy. I get they are doing it to prevent being overwhelmed, but they obviously have a reopen date in mind. I sincerely doubt they have been hoping to open on June 7th for the week and something changed that made them change their mind and push it out another week.TA here .... emails are coming out for check in dates of June 7 - 13 today ........![]()
if you call that's what they tell you. If you have a reservation they will contact you about any cancellation and can happen up to 7 days beforeTo me this rolling cancellation stuff is crazy. So cancellations go out 2 1/2 weeks before the first check-in date? Crazy. My check in isn't until June 16th, so I guess I can expect my cancellation 7 days from now (even though Disney probably already knows they aren't going to be open on June 16th).
Well .. I will keep waiting then. Disney is not offering any sort of rescheduling promotion to everyone cancelled in June thus far, correct?if you call that's what they tell you. If you have a reservation they will contact you about any cancellation and can happen up to 7 days before
Any news about DVC yet? My May 29th is still showing up.if you call that's what they tell you. If you have a reservation they will contact you about any cancellation and can happen up to 7 days before

At least there's some hope until you get the email.Well .. I will keep waiting then. Disney is not offering any sort of rescheduling promotion to everyone cancelled in June thus far, correct?
Opening plans need to be approved by the governor and OC mayor - which they are required to deliver today (but only UOR is presenting). Once it is approved, I think we will see a PR from Disney with the date and what their procedures will look like.To me this rolling cancellation stuff is crazy. As long as it's before August and the seven other trips that I impulse booked during this craziness, I'm happy.Opening plans need to be approved by the governor and OC mayor - which they are required to deliver today (but only UOR is presenting). We are forgetting that they need to get all procedures approved for CPC compliance. I have faith that we will know very soon what their opening date is.
I'm voting June 14th.
Disney cancelled all reservations for end of May/beginning of June, so I assume that would include DVC (but I'm not a DVC member and you know what they say about assuming . . .)Any news about DVC yet? My May 29th is still showing up.
H2O Live, Margaritaville's water park reopening
What is CPC?Opening plans need to be approved by the governor and OC mayor - which they are required to deliver today (but only UOR is presenting). Once it is approved, I think we will see a PR from Disney with the date and what their procedures will look like.
