Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

It's highly likely some of the restaurants/shops in Disney Springs sadly never re-open. A lot of restaurants close down for lesser problems than not being open for 2 months. Hopefully a lot of the restaurants at DS are "big" enough to have had the deep pockets to ride this out.

I just wonder after the initial "curiosity" is over and people come the first week to check it out, just how many people are really going to go there with all the restrictions in place and if these restaurants shops will even find it worth staying open with such reduced traffic.
Disney Springs will be fine and plenty busy even before then, there are a lot of bored people and shopping is entertainment.

Wow- so masks stay on while on the thrill rides? (I mean not blowing off, not having to wear them.)
PS- I have NO problem wearing a mask, if required. Honest inquiry.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who would specifically go to a place like disney springs over another shopping destination that wasn't taking safety precautions seriously. Where I live, all stores and venues have to follow the same rules which are strict and they are using CDC guidelines to inform their reopening stages. I know that is not true in other locations. On the DIS Unplugged segments they are complaining about grocery stores feeling unsafe because few people are in masks and I feel badly for them because everyone is masked up in our stores (required, not requested) and I feel much better about it.

To me it isn't any one thing but would need to be a combination of things. Like, if masks were required but overall I would be able to get the "full" Disney parks experience then I would be fine with it (or at least deal with it)

But if it was masks AND no pols AND no M&Gs AND a significant # of rides were not running, etc - that is what would cause me to cancel
And I’m as interested in all of this just as much as when they’ll open. We have 6 park days right now. We already pretty much decided we’ll probably change to 5. But if things like the above are all missing, then we might still do 4. But we would also switch resorts b/c we are at Poly for the pool.

The numbers could look great through August and they still aren't going to relax anything, because the CDC and other medical experts are warning about a possible winter surge and we won't know if that happens until the winter is over. There is no benefit in giving people false hope about what to expect.

I disagree - allowing people to know they can be much more free this summer, but may need to adapt again once the fall comes would make them think you were being honest with them and that you were only taking necessary measures...

This way, they'll all see that masks are useless in the heat, and they hate to wear them in the heat (double whammy), and eventually, they'll toss them for good. When you say, but you need to keep wearing them in the fall, no one will ever put it back on til we're right back where we were in March.

No reason why they would blow off, honestly. I wear glasses and have never had any remote concern with them coming off my face during even the highest speed attractions, and they're not fully looped around my ears.

I guess I'm just haunted with my Grandpa losing his glasses on Space Mountain on my first trip... Or losing my magic band on Tower of Terror.
PS- I have NO problem wearing a mask- honest inquiry.
