Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

Yes, I think its a worthy question to ask what's the CEO's response going to be with folks passing out and smacking their heads in the parks? Perhaps that's a question they don't want to address. 🤷
Well, there haven't been reports of anyone passing out in the parks at Shanghai Disneyland yet, and it's been in at least the 80s since it opened. I think they'll be okay.

So....is that the response? I see, so heat stroke is personal responsibility.
As a Floridian, I’m going to say yes. Trust me, heat stroke is always going to be a danger in Florida in the summer—always. If you’re an adult, it’s your responsibility to hydrate, stay in the shade as much as possible, and monitor how you feel. For kids, the responsibility belongs to their parents. This is true with and without masks.

😂. Remember this debacle yesterday when people thought this site might have been legit and APs were going to have to pay for tickets, only for that to be debunked when it was seen all the other ridiculous, baseless rumors this person had on their site?

now he/she is spamming Craig’s post with his/her site with that rumor

😂

Craig makes a good point though. Maybe it’s akin to me feeling like I have to keep ordering curbside take out that we don’t really need to keep our local restaurants afloat, and locals will spend money they might not have otherwise at their “local businesses” aka Universal and Disney.

I think we all knew a good percent of the crowd was going to be vloggers going out and trying to get hits. It’s good to have as much information as possible. But it’s also good not to overcrowd a place that opened to make money, by not spending money

Well, we shall see. Should be fun watching people in Florida standing over people passed out yelling..."personal responsibility". Heh.

Hopefully, Disney will have 10X the amount of available water stands in the park for this "new normal".

It’s a shame about the masks, can’t even see the smile on my kids face or anyone else for that matter when enjoying the magic. Takes away the human connections.

Think we will bypass any Disney trips until the muzzle movement is over.

Good luck to those who brave it!

It will be interesting to see what happens. I have been to three places in the last couple of days where masks were "required." I saw many, many chin masks- and people constantly touching and adjusting and pulling at them. So much for "Avoid touching your face." And perhaps in a tribute to Mr. Miyagi, lots of "Mask on- Mask off."

CityWalk should be fairly easy for people because most of the open places are restaurants. It is easy to walk to a restaurant for a few minutes then take the mask off for most of the evening. It will certainly be much more of a challenge in the parks.

Whatever happened to personal responsibility? That was being said all the time in regards to Disney not making rules and letting people take their protection and hygiene into their own hands. Personal responsibility = while masks are required if wearing a mask in Florida does not work for you and you are worried about things like passing out, it is your responsibility to yourself to not go.

It is abundantly clear masks are here at least for the time being. I am confident they have taken all the “what if’s” into account and are still making the decisions they are.
i will take personal responsibility in another direction to think about. not saying this would happen but another way to look at. you have a child who you feel is able to ride Everest and wants to but child is an inch below height requirement. you are responsible/your child so that child should be able to ride. and yes Disney does a great job enforcing this

Will that be against the rules? I mean to take a drink that means you have to take the mask off. I guess no walking around the park with a drink anymore.

Nobody really knows yet. IMO, I think it will be pretty strict at first. Perhaps designated areas to sit down and drink? Although I think it would be fine to take a mask off for a quick sip, I really have no clue what will be allowed.

As time goes on, I think it will become looser and looser, and drinking and eating while walking around maskless will be less of a big deal. Again, just my opinion.

As someone who has lived in Central Florida my entire life, I can say it certainly takes a LOT for a person to pass out from heat stroke. Last summer (July) I redid my entire front and back garden. Back breaking work, lugging 20lb bags of soil and fertilizer, manually pulling weeds and rooted grasses from inside the flower beds, digging holes and planting sometimes over 20 plants over a 4-5 hours period in a day-in the middle of the day. Temps close to 100*, humidity sky high, and while I did of course sweat a lot and took a couple of breaks to get some water and stand under an A/C vent in my house I did not feel like I was going to pass out even once. If someone has a condition where they easily pass out, they probably should not visit Florida in the summer.

They have height requirements to keep us all safe. They now have mask and distancing requirements to do the same.

If someone does not like the rules at Disney it is their own responsibility to stay away from Disney. I do not think masks would be enjoyable, I am not going.

Yeah, I get it and I know Florida folks are probably good to go. :sunny:

I’d be shocked if they confront someone in the park who moves their mask to take a drink or eat something.

That is not going to happen. And before anyone says so, that doesn’t render mask wearing pointless.
