Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

If you are having trouble accessing magic bands try looking under "my plans" on a computer, not phone. I was able to get to mine that way and edit them.

Someone on the cancellations thread said they got an email that their magical express tags for their June 1st arrival at VGF shipped. They are DVC. They called to confirm and they said they had indeed been shipped. Could be nothing, or could be an indicator MK/MK resorts/DVC or some combo is opening first.
I just made my Magical Express Reservations this am for a June 7-13 vacation. I was not able to a few weeks ago. We will see...

If any group is likely to be ok with that, it's the DVC group. I've seen a lot of chatter about people doing resort only stays over in the DVC fan Facebook group. I think people are likely to know what they're getting themselves in to if they're keeping June reservations.
Real quick on this, one of the reasons some of us are keeping reservations (even though my wife and I have reservations about going so early in a restart) is the rules of banking/borrow and how DVC is handling that. If we cancel our points are left in one situation, if Disney cancels, they get put back in a better position for us. We will wait to see what they do.

As of today, my June 7th Magicband order status shows as "being fulfilled".
5 night stay at Pop. Military room package with the quick service dining plan.

"Your MagicBand Order Is Being Fulfilled
Review Your Order
We will ship it shortly and provide tracking details."

I assume the system is on some kind of auto timer that switched the status, but this seems like a great thing to create conspiracy theories about so I wanted to share!

Just curious with your trip being June 15, have you paid in full yet? Will you pay in full if they haven't formally announced their plans yet as to masks and what experiences will be available? I haven't been keeping up on the latest cancellation policies but I'm starting to wonder about my July trip as far as when I'll need to PIF relative to opening/announcements.

My trip starts June 19th, and I haven't paid in full yet. I'm going to wait until the last minute to do so.

I was thinking about this last night. We don’t do parades, characters or fireworks. I thought, well then what the heck do we do there then? Absence of any of those things wouldn’t really prevent me from going, but I’ve also said we’d go for just a resort stay so I’m not the typical Disney goer. We really go for the rides, food, drinks and atmosphere. As my son puts it, Disney is very good at nostalgia pandering (he said it not me). 😆 I love it there, so whatever works!

We do like the fireworks and will watch a parade if it fits in with our daily plans. My kids are older, so the characters aren't as much of a draw as they have been in past trips, so none of those will be a dealbreaker for us. I do think we would probably move our trip if all of the parks aren't open, but we, too, can do without the things you mentioned.

This is all great information. It would really be interesting to learn just how many people booked for June, it must be a lot of people!
My friend with a mid June trip called yesterday to pay off the trip in late June, he figures worst that happens is it gets refunded, and he asked the CM if she thought he should just go ahead and cancel and move what he's already paid to another reservation he has since they closed June reservations. She told him no (of course, as some would say, they may just be trying to hold on to money for now), and said they were at capacity and that's why it was closed, that Disney doesn't want a rush of people booking trips when they announce an opening date and that resort and dining reservations were at a manageable level for reopening so they were blocked off. He said "I guess time will tell if that's true" and she said "I guess so, I guess we'll see. Don't lose hope!", and then he paid off his trip. It may not be a lot of people at all, it's just already at the reduced capacity that Disney was hoping for, and keeping it open would push them over that capacity which is something they definitely don't want or need right now. I guess we will see if any of these CMs saying they're at capacity (a reduced capacity anyway) are right. I'm still skeptical of phone CM info, but you never know, they may actually know something this time lol

IDK. I had an April trip booked and even though I had completed my magicband order, there were never any attempts to mail them. So, this is at least a little different than my experience then when my trip was cancelled by Disney.

I have a June trip booked and I was able to complete my band order for it, so I've not given up hope quite yet!

It is interesting to note, because usually CM speculation is all over the place, while it seems currently several CMs are using the "hit capacity" line, almost like they collaborated on what they were going to say, regardless if it's just speculation.

If this were the case, and CM's are authorized to say this- then Disney should have put out an official announcement about it. If they can let CM's put out the information, they can put it out officially. We shouldn't have to get details like that via a random phone CM. And, I don't think we do. For whatever reason they're saying it, I don't believe it. Unless it's an official announcement, I take it with a grain of salt. That said, if I had reservations for any time period that has not been officially closed, I'd keep them. If you can afford for Disney to hold your money, there's no reason to cancel early. It's exactly what I'm doing- with back up reservations in case they don't open.

I was able to select free magic bands only for June, but the premium ones were not available. I read on another thread that premium bands won't be available until they are open.
Mrs. Ally and I got our premium bands in late March for our May trip that is now a June trip. Was actually after they had been closed for over a week.

Sorry I didn't make it clear, I didn't mean an official collaboration. More like "what are you telling folks?" collaboration amongst co-workers.

Maybe they are being told to say they are at capacity. She also told me I had 7 days in advance to cancel. But the website still states I could cancel up until the check in date which is what I was told during booking. We are driving but I will probably cancel 7 days prior regardless.
"To provide additional flexibility, we are waiving Disney-imposed change and cancellation fees up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through June 30." 🤷‍♀️

Of course they could have oddly had the same CM lol. I told him this morning I would take that news with a grain of salt, he's still being optimistic since he's been saving for this trip for 3 years. I don't have a trip until July so I'll just be happy for some news and an early July opening, but I understand everyone with a June trip is just looking for any kind of hope they can grab on to at this point.
In a Disney Facebook group for June someone said that their TA told them that their June 6-13 trip was cancelled. But would a TA even have that info on a Monday or Tuesday? Hasn't Disney been doing it on Wednesdays?
That seems odd since they have been going one week at a time, and that trip would be just barely in that first week of cancelations (that hasn't even been announced yet because that normally happens on wednesdays).

Could be a travel agency group deal that the agency is cancelling themselves. I know a TA I've used in the past had additional discounts on some rooms in early June, I would guess bookings are low and they were trying to book those rooms.

That's what I thought, too.

I'd go by what it says on the website. CM's are notoriously uninformed.
