Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

Have they been getting schedules during the closure? (Obviously without hours)

If not, couldn’t them not having it just mean no opening still?

Could mean they are waiting for all the responses from the CM survey.

That would make sense. Otherwise today they could only call back supervisors, as there is no way they could tally the CM survey responses and then refigure seniority and new assignments in this short amount of time.

I was thinking if they called back supervisors today for the 17th and then called back line CMs next Sunday for the 24th, with a few days of retraining they wouldn’t be able to open DS much before June 1st, now they might be able to open some DS Disney business in a few weeks.

You’d be surprised what a good reporting software can do. If the survey was internal and required CM’s to input credentials of some sort it could definitely be done IMO.

yes the schedules comes out every Sunday, each day says "no shift"
After the first read of that comment  figured it was time to reach fo my reading glasses lol.

This may be apparant to all but me, but does this mean the Thursday park update information could be construed as a secondary source of info as to park openings vs the work schedules?

Not a CM, just an observer, but that's the way I've been looking at this.

For those following along with CM schedules. The schedule has not come out today. They usually get their schedule a week out every Sunday, this lack of schedule also happened at the beginning of closures, it came out I believe it was Tuesday or Wednesday.
Any other day reading there was a delay for that specific week in May would have given hope. False hope but hope none the less... it does not today. I have none left after having gotten so much hope about June this week to have it all basically dashed Fri night.

Can only stay optimistic for so long. I’d like a better picture of a possible window so I could potentially rebook a trip before everything is sold out or airlines rates go through the roof, but the week by week announcements makes it impossible to rebook confidently

This is where I am too. I threw out my tea leaves and crystal ball. There were so many things that could easily be seen as indicators that they were shooting for June 1, yet none of it apparently was. I’m not looking at anything but concrete evidence as signs anymore. When they call cast back, when we see movement in the parks, or when they actually say something that isn’t double speak, then I’ll pay attention to it. I took taking reservations and offering free dining as a sign of an opening date goal. Now I look at July 1 as meaning that’s how far out they’re willing to say they’re closed.

There were a lot of signs of them possibly opening in June, it wasnt just people with June reservations looking at things through Disney tinted glasses. It wasn’t like when they first closed and they had the temporary closure date set until March 31st. There was NO way they were opening April 1st in any capacity. With June 1st, there was some progression with guidelines and things starting to reopen etc. But all it took was for them to say they’re not taking reservations until July 1st to take away that possibility.

Maybe I missed something, but I thought they said they won’t be taking “new” reservations before July 1st. They haven’t canceled any of the existing ones yet.
This seems indicative of opening in June with limited capacity. I thought there were others who stated the same idea. But again maybe I missed something after that.

Some of us thought that, but the complete removal of ADRs and events seems ominous.

The only thing that makes it less likely is that they have also stopped selling tickets for June... It could still happen.

You’re not wrong, but they also went through the same process with May reservations when they opened reservations for June 1st and beyond. The last week of May reservations were all cancelled this past Thursday. If the pattern continues, this coming Thursday would be when the June 1st - June 7th reservations would be cancelled. Now if by chance they aren’t cancelled on Thursday, there leaves some hope, but it still doesn’t look likely
