Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

Similar thing here in our state. Patios open 5/15 and inside dining open 5/21. Many restaurants have come out and said they won’t be ready by then whether that means supplies, reorganizing to account for 6’, staffing, or just not feeling safe enough yet.

Or they just can't operate for a profit with the limitations.

I wonder if they’re thinking they can’t open in June, or if they already reached capacity and are only taking reservations into July. There was quite a bit of availability last time I looked for June so I don’t think it’s the capacity. Patiently waiting like many of you to see if my June 21st res is cancelled 😔.

Yep, I wonder the same thing. We're in the same boat as you, waiting like it seems like everything else in life right now! Our check in date is 6/18, so a little later in the month so maybe there's hope for it. We'll see though. Also waiting to see what modifications will be In place to see if it is open if it's worth going (for us). My FP's aren't great but at least are better than my July FP's for my. Ack up ressie.

I posted this in the other thread but has implications for ALL operations at Disney World

FWIW late last night the Governor of Florida extended the State of Emergency for Florida until July 7

It is Possible Disney will wait until this is lifted and that is why we are seeing June now being canceled. Could give them a little more time.

I have a feeling Disney will do NOTHING until this is lifted and that is why we are seeing June now being canceled

Wow. Thanks. Our trip is July 7, so I’m totally figuring it’s a no go now. We were probably going to cancel anyway, but this just is like the push to cancel 😩.

A state of emergency is basically so they can keep getting federal money. This is not the stay at home order.

This doesn't mean that business can't go forward. The reasons for state of emergencies is to allow certain monies and resources to be used differently. The first phase of re-opening is still going forward, so its not game over yet.

True but I think it could give Disney a little more time in places where they need it. Especially in DVC

Can always fall back and say we need more time and there is still a SOE in place.

Doesn’t a state have to be in a state of emergency to receive federal relief funds? (Like emergency SBA loans)

I’m from NY anyway. So I’m not sure when the 14 day quarantine is going to be over anyway.

We also go for the characters for my daughter. She’s 4, so it’ll be hard for her to stand 6 feet away. I don’t want to pay close to 6k for a trip with a lot of modified experiences, which I’m sure there will be in July.

I read the whole document. I don’t see the restrictions against NY travel. I too am from NY and have never been so angry regarding this ban. I’m Not even from NYC. And even if I was from NYC - it is doing great right now. Looks like I will be going to a different airport in different state to fly to Florida.

I think that NY, NJ, Etc 14 day quarantine will be lifted as FL goes into Phase 2
