Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

I’m wondering how soon between phases too b/c depending on other modifications & opening date, I might actually try to move trip up. 50% capacity sounds wonderful. 75% sounds closer to the usual.
50% is still pretty darn crowded. From what I read, and no one knows for sure, they start the closing procedures at 65% on a normal day.

Agreed...
... as long as you're among the 50% that gets in and not the 50% that's turned away. :stir:
True but we are AP holders & will stay on site. USUALLY in other phased closures that is among the top groups to get in. Now if it’s based on first come first served basis, we are screwed b/c we don’t get out early. But, DS is 2 so we are used to having to be flexible.

I kinda figured that. I think the best bet for low crowds is ppl just not coming.

I assume resort guests will be guaranteed entry to a park every day. If the limit is 50% of park capacity, there should be more than enough capacity to accommodate that.

Wipe down places at “ random “ ?

Should be everytime

Those guidelines don’t make me feel safe there.

50 percent capacity? To start? That’s nuts

No face masks for the actual people in the park? That’s the one thing that can actually make a difference at the park. If employees have to wear them, all guests should have to wear them. All the employees will wear their makes ( probably not even n95, but regular ones, and we put them at risk wearing none) Not saying forever but for a month or 2 at least to test the system. I am not surprised though. They didn't keep ANYONE from social distancing that last week they were open. Do you remember those photos? It was a joke of how they handled it.

You can wash your hands 10000 times but if someone next to you is asymptotic and somehow gets near you, that won’t help.

I assume they will add things before opening, and I also assume this is more geared towards staff right now and not guest relations. I truly hope so..
Yeah, Disney's gonna make all the guests wear masks then get thousands of lawsuits of people suffering from or dyinng from heat stroke. Not. Gonna. Happen.

How?

Who would have collated that information?

No one is doing contact tracing currently.
I think if ppl even thought there was a way to link it back to wdw they would be all over it. A few states claimed residents who attended Mardi Gras were the ones who brought it back to their states which may or may not be true, but it certainly made the news at that time. And there has been been no outbreak among cast members reported either.

Probably part of the show. That’s the basics & now wdw & Universal can look like they’re going above & beyond with anything else they implement although they made up the task force who set the minimal guidelines in the first place.
This is the most intelligent thing I have heard today-- back to optics. I think you are on to something.:teacher:

Edit: the number of resort rooms is around 28000 (including DVC)-- if Disney limits to resort guests and opens all 4 parks social distancing could be achievable.

I would give up if I were you, its like talking to a brick wall

So....if there was a REAL risk heat stroke and dying from masks, they wouldn't be requiring their employees to wear them. Seriously, this is yet another one of those overblown "risks" that have no basis in fact.

The parks aren't going to hit the reduced capacity levels with resort guests. I don't think there's any way they allow resort guests to come, then tell them they can't go to a park. My guess is the worry will be getting people to come, not too many people coming.
