Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

What happens if you get sick at at WDW then infect friends and relatives when you get home. Your friends and relatives haven't signed waivers. A law might offer Disney some protections.
What happens if Disney doesn't follow procedure? Hand sanitizer dispensers are empty. Mask rules, if established, aren't enforced. CM screening is lax.

Posters talk about proof. A CM who has contact with guests gets sick. Guests from different parts of the country get sick. Contact tracing suggests they were all in WDW 2 weeks ago. Eat in the same restaurant. Same waiter either served them or was at least on duty.

The issue isn't really liability. Disney's lawyers are probably good. The real issue. Disney can't be thought of as a place where guests go, get sick then infect friends and family members.

Yep. Of course, if Disney isn't REALLY trying everything possible and reasonable to limit spread, they might get slapped with an ADA lawsuit because people with disabilities can't have "equal enjoyment" of Disney. Something to think about. There are a LOT of people who are at high risk from COVID who are typical Disney guests.

It would be hard to prove that’s where you got us from once you get home.

“proof” in a legal sense is 50.00001% more likely than not.

“proof” in public opinion is something going viral online.

How can you tell if it is "required"? Doesn't online check-in always show up for reservations?

Makes sense - no reason to have guests necessarily queuing at the resort check-in counter when they can just do it on their phone. We already did online check-in for our July 19 trip, so I can't speak to whether this is showing for us or not.

Look at the screen shot on the right - Disney's wording changed to actually say it is required.

My son is already bemoaning that he might be going from under 20 weeks to over a year, but there's not a thing we can do about it but save some extra money because we're probably going to need it. (We had managed to get a few things to work out nicely for us for the Aug./Sept. trip that we will lose going next year.)

It's not bad right now, if you wanted to hold onto it for a few years. I'd expect it's going to drop a decent amount either before or after their next shareholder meeting on May 5th, though...

The price per value was a joke. Cause there was thread on here with people saying to stop saying price per value.

IMO for me Disney isn't a good price per value. A park like Cedar Point has a better one as I don't have littles and I love roller coasters.

Just and FYI there was a news conference today in Orlando with ORLANDO HEALTH which is one of the biggest hospital providers in the Orlando area with over 2,000 hospital beds.

While nothing was mentioned about Disney per-say, there were some interesting remarks from the top Doctors that I am sure Disney Executives will use in their decision making

- Orlando area itself seeing rapid decline of Covid patients with a total of only 26 in the hospital system throughout Orlando
- The top medical doctors and advisors were asked point blank are the Orlando Hospitals ready for the next phase of openings and they ALL said YES with plenty of rooms available if spike should occur

and with regards to MASKS, this was very interesting since everyone is talking about masks and this info could be used by Disney execs going forward:

The Doctors said that washing your hands and NOT touching your face MUCH more beneficial than masks. He went on to say if people dont know how to use the masks properly they can actually cause more harm than good. You touch the dirty mask with your bare hands to adjust it or take it off etc..... then you touch a door or a table or something, You just cross contaminated everything.

So while this info not directly connected with Disney, I am sure Disney is in contact with medical professionals in the Orlando area.

It gives me hope at least. I know they aren't ready to open all the parks yet, but they can at least start taking baby steps.

Desantis at his press conference today, pretty much said the same thing, hospital beds and usage is not a concern at all and never has been close to tested in Florida.

Just an FYI - you're already being tracked on Disney property with your MagicBand, if you wear one.

Private company though. Not the government. I don't think Disney can turn that information over to the government without one heck of a legal battle.

Just like right now, there are many people and organizations saying that if Apple or Google turns over personal identifiable information to the government concerning contact tracing aps, there will be lawsuits.

With a 6-14 day incubation period, doctors in Orlando won't be the majority of staff treating tourists. That's why we need a 2-3 week period with locals only IMO.

The parks cannot open if there is still social distancing. Unless they sell 50% less tickets at 2x the price.

They could very easily limit access to APs and those on property only, limit access (similar to phased closures) and even close less bookedup resorts to weed out excess. There's a lot of ways they can do it. Its just unpopular
