I expect that eventually. It’s the sort of thing that could bog down the legal system for years with no certain conclusions.I just read an article that said there could be a provision in the next stimulus package that would shield companies from Coronavirus liability. So it seems to be something that’s at least being discussed.
Nothing we haven’t hashed to death already me thinks...
Not your question but it reminded me... I expect the days of Photo CMs using your camera to take photos are done for now...While I understand safety and social distancing, what amount of money does Disney make from photos? We bought Memory Maker, as I’m sure many do, but without characters/photographers it loses its value and Disney loses that revenue - because I’m certainly cancelling ours without characters/character dining. Does anyone think some work around may be offered for photographs for money making? That sounds cold, but the fact that Disney is a business has been soundly addressed.
Not necessarily, they could have hand sanitizer added to their costumeNot your question but it reminded me... I expect the days of Photo CMs using your camera to take photos are done for now...
Is memory maker refundable? I rather expect them to stick it to guests who bought that, and APs who buy it as a part of their AP, under the logic we get ride photos and around the park photos without characters. It’s not right but that’s what I expect...

It is not refundable for those of us who bought a non-discounted AP. It may be considered just an “extra” of the AP, but it was certainly a big factor in deciding to get the AP instead of regular park tickets. Not your question but it reminded me... There will be lots of moments social distancing is not maintained at the park, just like in every day life when someone hands you the groceries or takes your credit card. I would think that’s not something they’re concerned with for the photographers as it’s such a quick interaction anyway. It is not refundable for those of us who bought a non-discounted AP. I am also wondering how we tap our magic bands and still maintain social distancing with the photographers. Maybe they have a standing station now where we tap and the photographer doesn’t have to get close to us?
It will be interesting to see what modifications they make with photos.
After hearing these doctors today, I am now of the thinking that Disney might make it "optional" and not mandatory for masks.
I hadn't heard of the contract tracing before (this way) and nope! I'm not being tracked by Bluetooth. I'll gladly forgo Disney before I'll agree to that method.
Side note - it's the first mention I had seen of a possible vaccine by Sept? Not sure how I feel about that.
I agree! This Jimmy Mouse character …. Jeez, what a story tellerI would take all of the above with a very large grain of salt. I highly doubt there is any source behind these rumors.
Personally, I'd still get the memory maker. Even without character meet and greets, that allows me to get pics on the rides and I like that. Plus, they may still have photographers out and about taking traditional (non magic) photos. If they don't have to give you a bunch of special instructions it's easier for them to stay a safe distance from you while snapping your photo. While I understand safety and social distancing, what amount of money does Disney make from photos? Seems crazy to be able to sign away employee and customer safety on mass.Yes it would provide companies at least some degree of protection from lawsuits from employees or customers.
Who knows if it will ever be passed; but I’m sure Big Business is lobbying for it.
They wont even know for sure if it works against the virus by September and definitely have no clue if it is safe by then. No thanks!I hadn't heard of the contract tracing before (this way) and nope! I'm not being tracked by Bluetooth. I'll gladly forgo Disney before I'll agree to that method.

But maybe there is the opportunity there for them to significantly increase the magic moment shots or whatever they are called where the characters are added into the photos digitally??Personally, I'd still get the memory maker. In 2009 they had buy 4 get 3 free days free park tickets.
Those were the days! SighIn 2009 we were a family of 5 (3 Disney adults, 2 children). We stayed at POR, had the dinning plan and stayed for 8 days, 7 nights, starting the weekend of the marathon in January. $1900 for our accommodations, tickets and free dining.
