Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

In Phase 2, the restrictions are relaxed and doesn’t require it. I’m sure people are hoping it will be somewhat back to as normal as what can be considered normal a couple months from now.

I agree I thought it was phase 3 but either way it’s only temporary.

I dont really find any of it depressing. Its necessary, right now. These businesses need to open back up, and they need to take precautions, no matter what percentage of really making a difference it is. These are all temporary measures. Some might stick in minimized form, but masks, temp checks and 6 feet separation wont last. I could see 2-3 feet separation markers moving forward after things get back to “normal”

Never said it wasn't necessary. I, personally, find it depressing. I realize that isn't a popular opinion and I'm not looking to debate. It's just how I feel.

They are making announcements reminding about face coverings, social distancing, washing your hands.

I’m not sure it is unpopular. It hit me like a rock. I’m not a Universal person, but what I see there is what I’m going to see at the place I do love.....it is depressing whether it’s needed or not.

I get it. It bums me out. I think seeing the changes in the parks will hit me harder than the parks being closed, I’m not sure why.

I had to collect myself in the parking lot of the grocery store the first time I saw a distanced line up with some people in masks waiting to go in. It’s still surreal that this is all real and not going away, I think.

And I am 100% on board with it all being necessary, so it’s not that.

I think my opinion on this is the unpopular one. Major changes impact people in different ways. For some reason, I’m just unfazed by it. Maybe because I expected the worst when it came to what would be required to go back to these types of places when they first reopened. But I’m sure a lot more people knew some of this stuff was coming, but it’s hard to believe until you see it. You know these places for so long to be a certain way, and they change over night

It will go away sooner than you think, the data does not support it. Giving people space and washing hands will be pushed hard but the rest will fade away. One example is the airlines backing off on requiring masks to stay on during flights once they realized policing it is not possible, same with the parks.

Temp checks and masks will go away, I agree, but packing thousands of people in the Hub will be impossible. Things like fireworks and parades may be out for a long time.

Exactly. These companies don’t want to have to give temperature checks. And they certainly know that making people wear masks in the Florida summer is not ideal. If Disney doesn’t open until after the 4th or July, there’s a good chance that masks will no longer be mandatory. It hasn’t even been a month since they became mandatory in NY

For me it is the foreshadowing of what will happen to the football season. I have thousands of dollars tied up in tickets and football is very important to me and my family. I'm incredibly anxious to see what happens with it.

In that scenario, if people feel uncomfortable throw a mask on during the fireworks and parades, I think you will see fireworks shows in July if not sooner.

It’s not really the masks, or distancing, or anything individual that bums me out, it’s the entire thing and they just drive home it being real.

I’m bummed about Disney yes, but more so about schools, sports, family gatherings, going out to eat, and really day to day life in general being impacted. And it takes this way too OT so I’ll just say agree to disagree about this being over completely sooner than later.
