Rugby Fans?

I was wondering how many (if any) of you were rugby fans... particularly Rugby Union.

Any Lions supporters???

I've watched all the lions games and I have to say that whilst New Zealand looked fresh and full of attacking options, the Lions teams looked vey tired and jaded in comparison.

The midweek team have done ok although it has mostly been against inferior oppposition.

I'm a rugby fan and ex-player (I played center, although I look more like a prop now LOL). At school I even played against Dean Richards

The Lions didn't seem to gel as a team, the All Blacks always had that little bit more As Alan says the mid-week teams have mostly done well. I guess winning 7 out of 11 games looks good on paper but it's test matches that count and the team just wasn't up to the same standard as the All Blacks.
The early loss of Dallaglio and O'Driscoll didn't help either.

Goofy & Alan (Hi Kaylee),

I agree with your remarks vis vis The AB's & The Lions... I have always considered myself a friend of Britain (and still do) but they started badly and only got worse. Losing Dallaglio was bad, but losing O'Driscoll was even wosre. What I thought was really awful, though, was the media frenzy over Umaga and Mealamu's tackle whicn resulted in O'Driscoll's injuy.

I felt sorry for Brian, but I think his injury had more to do with bad luck than any intent to injure on the part of that AB's.

On the good side, we saw some great play by Josh Lewsey, Gavin Henson, and Gareth Thomas, among others on the Lions' side. Daniel CArter, and Byron Kelleher were great standouts for the AB's as well as their regular standouts.

I have not been following rugby for long (hey, I'm An American... we don't get much exposure here), but I was hoping to see something more than I did from Jonny Wilkinson.

PS: Don't feel bad about looking like a prop... I have always looked like a prop (except for when I was in the Marines).
