Just be grateful you got a shower and gifts from work.
I personally find it annoying when there are showers in the workplace because they make you feel obligated to contribute. ( which I think THAT is rude!) If showers and the like would get banned altogether, there would be no problems with "thank yous", getting people to contribute, etc.
I didn't ask for a shower, I certainly didnt expect one esp. since we had one at my old office. No one MADE them do anything. I thought I was showing my gratitude by Thanking them with a nice little note. I sure didn't expect to get laughed at from it.
While I might expect rude behavior from you GG, I sure didn't expect it from my new co workers. By the Way you make no sense... there should NEVER be an issue with a Thank You note.
