We always book with an agent, loyaltusa homes and they are always very polite and informative, we stayed on widnsor with them once, i would recommend them

Given what happened recently to that family who booked a house (not at Windsor Hills), I believe a lot more people are going to start asking a lot more questions given the fraud in that particular case/place that was scamming people.

There is a certain leverl of trust when renting a home from a privated individual , i always check they own the house online records etc to see im not being scammed, just ,y luck to get there and nohouse for me ...lolbut wouldnt ask them questions directly, just something i check, if i couldnt find it out myself or got conflicting information then i would ask, nothing wrong with the other questions.

Yes, I found a great place with Dave Robinson and his site is vacationcentralflorida.com he even has a page on his website with frequently asked questions, AND does not mind if you ask a trillion questions! So, my money will be best spent with him and my comfort level is high

Plus there are somethings that are more important to some renters than others. For instance we need curtains in the bedrooms so my kids will sleep in past the crack of dawn. Very few rentals have curtains(most just have white blinds)...if we know this in advance then we take our own along with spring type rods that can fit any window. May seem odd to some people but it is important to us!

I'm right there with you on the light coming through the windows on the majority of the rentals like this! Our low-budget, quick & easy solution is aluminum foil to cover the windows.

Not very classy, I know, but it does stick to the window with a minimum of scotch tape and is remarkably effective at blocking the light. Now, you can't look through the window at all, so this doesn't work if you want the window to be open sometimes. Just thought I'd mention it as an option. Aluminum foil and tape is on my standard packing list when we're renting a home/condo/townhome!
