Rude People (nothing to do with DCL sorry)

I ran into the rudest people at MGM yesterday. I know this story is probably more for the Theme Park board, but everyone on this board is a lot more sympathetic, and I would rather share my sorrow with you guys!

After Fantasmic (the 10:30 showing) my DBF had to stop at the restroom. Everyone was heading out, so there were plenty of empty benches. I went and sat on one, and a few minutes later, I saw a large party stop in the middle of the street because one of their party members needed to use the restroom. Instead of taking the empty bench a few feet down from me, they walk up to the bench I was sitting on. Then one person in their group asks me "Do you mind moving down to that bench!?" I couldn't believe they would ask me that! I told them no I wouldn't move, and sat there, so a couple people from their party sat there. I guess we were both to stubborn to move. It's not like they had a wheelchair, or small children in their group! How rude, in my opinion!

Thanks for letting my vent by the way. Like I said, I would rather vent with you guys than the Theme Park board!

Thanks for having the guts to say no. So many people cave into rude people, then those people get even ruder because they know they won.

I had something simular coming from fantasmic but actually CM's when you do the dinner package they let you in a sdie entrance near the front, and you walk up a back road, at the end they let you walk back down most of this, but then 'divert you' on the last bit, I can only think this is to get you to go by the shops and photo stores etc, i cannto think of any saftey reason. First year I follwed the CM's instructions even with young kids in tow, next time I looked at the route and saw the big diversion they send you aorund.

I had two kids nearly asleep after al ong day saw the 'door/gate' slighlty open, but a CM stopped me and said you have to go all around the diversion as I call it.

No reason could be given and we gave up the strollers on the other side of this door/gate?. after a long walk around. (Taking you past the restrooms you mention, thats why I thought of it).

Sorry you had such a bad experience. It is so frustrating when others don't seem to see the big picture. Sometimes you wonder if they have forgotten that there are thousands of people at WDW and the park wasn't built for the convenience of one or two.
Andrew...been where you were as well and frustrated when CM's don't use the common sense of meeting a guest's needs...like getting you out the easiest route.

That is so weird that they would think that because they want the bench you are already sitting on that you would get up and move to the empty one. I can't believe they had the nerve to request that!
