I'm new at this..... what are better the metal or rubber backs for my pins:confused:

One's preference of a metal or rubber pin back is purely subjective. However, I personally like and use the smaller, hard black rubber pin backs. They generally have a tighter and more secure fit than the traditional metal pin backs.

Hope this helps. Your pal...Disneyboy

I like the rubber backings they stick tight. Disney sells rubber pin backs about a dozen per pack in two colors yellow and black (mostly black). At cheappins.com they have yellow pin backs in packs of 50 for about $5 or $6 a great price if you ask me.

Thanks the cast members were asking if I wanted the rubber backs. I was'nt sure

Rubber Backs . . .

  • On the back of a framed set, will not mar your walls.
  • On the back of your lanyard, will not snag your clothing.
  • On your hat, will not get caught in your hair.
  • On the floor, will not make a large laceration in the bottom of your foot -- requiring numerous painful sutures -- when you foolishly walk barefoot through the room where you work on your pins.

Not like I've experienced any of these events.

The rubber backs also are tighter fit so you tend not to lose pins from your lanyard!!
