I am trying to decide the deadline date I should ask people to send their RSVP cards back. I am thinking two months before the wedding date. Do you think that is too early? Thanks!

I'm thinking I am going to do around two months as well. I'm planning on sending them out around January after the holidays and asking for them back in Late Feb/Early March. Good luck!!

I am not sure if it is too early -- that is what we were doing, and I got the go ahead from Shelly --- what I will tell people is that Disney wants to know things a month in advance, plus they have had the Save the Dates 6 months in advance, if they don't by then, then they aren't coming..

Hope this helps!

I make all sorts of little "rules" that I tell people Disney makes me do! Like with the guest list all sorts of other stuff!

I'm doing 45 days, but it's an at-home wedding. For destination, I'd do sooner. Save the Dates are nice, but the invitations really seal the deal, so the sooner the better.

If you wait that long (August for October) how will you know how to book dining reservations? We're not setting up every meal, but I have a few that I want to schedule (welcome brunch at chef mickey's, rainforest lunch for our day at DAK, fantasmic dinner & show -- probably hollywood & vine, and Italy for our day at epcot). I sort of had a panic attack and wrote an email asking everyone to decide if they wanted to eat with us or not. :worried: :worried:

Alissa, I would try to make those reservations now, especially if they are for a large group. I just guessed at the number I might have and made a couple of reservations. I will change the number closer to the time if needed.

Think again about that... I'm having my wedding at disney August 28th. Most guest are out of state. When I went for my planning session my planner said to have it before your counts are due.

Ours is schedule for money due July 19th. She said to do 2 weeks before that so you can track down rsvps that you didnt get.

I sent mine out MAY 1st and my RSVP date is July 5th.

Some places get booked quick so dont wait. I called at the time I was told I could book ADRs and some where booked completely already back in FEB for August.

Ack! I knew I was panicking for a reason!! :worried: I have to call this week!

Anyone know if they get mad if you add/remove people closer to the meal?

Wow! I set my date for 2 weeks before the date. We're getting married the middle of October so I set my response date for October 1st but I'm not doing anything at restaurants so I guess it doesn't matter for me. If you are requestingt hese things back 2 months in advance when are you sending out your invites? We're sending our's out at the 2 month mark like all the good little planning books tell us to.

Are you having a disney wedding?? if you are disney will need a count before 2 weeks out. Room blocks end at a mth out. I'm going through this process now.

I just checked and my money is due September 3rd. I see what you mean, if I ask for a August 30th rsvp date I don't really have much time to find out if people are coming if they don't send in their rsvp cards before I have to pay.

We had our responce date 2 months before the wedding! So the invites went out about 3 months before-- that gave us a month to track down the "slackers" without having to stress too much!
