rsr sucks

This ride blows away Test Track for all those that haven't rode it yet. The animatronics are superb. The race against the other car is all out pure enjoyment. This is worth the hype.

ITA. And we almost skipped it because we didn't want to deal with the chaos. Now we wish we'd done it every day.

In my opinion, RSR completely encompasses everything that makes Disney Disney.

first of all, walking into Carsland literally took my breath away. It was like walking into the movie, and I was blown away by the detail.

The ride is just perfect ... it's got characters and details from the movie, little things that change up each time you ride, so its not exactly the same each time, and then there's the "thrill" at the end. The race at the end is fun ... it's no space mountain thrill, or anything on that level, but it was a "thrill" in that it was a little fast, a little exciting and made you hold on a little bit ( ... or throw your hands in the air).

It's the details during the dark part of the ride that make it a uniquely Disney experience ... its also something that everyone can ride. My DS4 couldn't get enought and my 70 year old mother must have rode it 5 or 6 times, too.

It was just the. perfect. Disney. experience.

And I'm not a Disney fanatic or anything ... only been to WDW and DLR once each in the modern era (though I lived in the OC back in the 70s and visited a lot as a child).

Well said.

Kind of impossible though because if you were in the line with 2 hours of waiting people, how would they let you get on with no wait if this happened 4 times in one day. Ultimately, there would still be a wait if 200 people showed up with no wait passes. Unfortunatley, I think it will just have to be worked out. I will keep watching the boards and see how often the break downs are and if the lines are still long like that in Sep. we will skip it. I can't imagine any ride worth that kind of wait or frustration. That is one of those things that could make you a little bitter for a while and who needs that on holidays. We just aren't telling our kids about the new ride.

Since the Disney channel plays the commercials advertising this particular ride EVERY day 100 times a day, I really don't have the option to not tell my children. I love Disney we have been to WDW 9 times in the past eight years with my little ones! But I still feel like for the people who have waited for that long and have a reservation or have to get out of line they should give them a fast pass to return at another time and ride it without waiting another 3 hours. They are make exorbitant amount of money off of this new addition they should figure it out for! Cars Land is the reason we have brought our children out here from Louisiana.

If you have to get out of line, they do have various options available. I have seen many use them, you just have to ask and be insistent, polite, but insistent. Depending on the situation, they can give you a hand written FP (like those used for GAC cards), child swap or return your FPs to you. They also have a bathroom pass that will allow some members of your party to leave and meet back up with you at the loading area. Bottom line is if you are polite and have a true need, they will do whatever they can to work with you.

Please note that you may have some wait when you get back, but shouldn't be more than 15 minutes or so, except the bathroom pass, that will depend on when your party gets through the queue.

No i am totally okay with them trying to make it right and having to wait a little while when you go back. Its just upsetting when you have traveled so far and your kids are so excited.
