It sure if it was already mentioned, but just announced that as of today, RSR is no longer a disconnected FP

Rats, this changes my strategy completely for my end of July trip!!!

Well that's definitely a strategy game changer - mostly because now you will have to wait 2 hours before pulling any other fastpass (unless of course you are one of the first to pull.) Our strategy may be to pull Soarin' at ropedrop - since that'll just mean a 40 min. wait until the next FP window opens - and then pull RSR. How did they announce this?

Oh bummer - heading to DL in July for the first time! But, thanks for posting this so everyone is aware!

Jumping on the "Where was this announced?" bandwagon... I haven't seen it anywhere on my Facebook feed this morning, and I subscribe to about 85168435 Disneyland/DCA pages ;)

I see that a credible poster over on the MC board, who happens to be a CM, posted that this info was on a whiteboard (I'm assuming this is a CM info board.)

It sounds at least that the plan is to disconnect them. I'm going Tuesday, but I think we'll get a more definitive answer sooner than that.

I am interested in knowing is this is really true also can't wait for some feedback on someone in the parks

We had to know this was coming, just not when. Coincided with school letting out/summer crowds, wonder if it has to do with that?

I'm curious, does any one know if they disconnect all new rides for a while, or just major stuff etc.

I look at WOC as a reserved seating assignment, so it isn't really the same IMHO.

There is no rhyme or reason to it. For many years GRR was disconnected. CA Screamin was not. Then GRR was connected and Screamin was disconnected.

There has been speculation that the reason RSR FPs run out so fast each day is because Disney was giving away less than for the average ride. Reports over the last week is that FPs are lasting much longer (like for three hours after park opening). Maybe Disney has decided to issue more FPs and make RSR connected again all at the same time?

:wizard:

So if RSR FP are connected now, should we get one before TSMM or wait til we are done riding that? We are going on an EE day (but don't have EE). I was planning on heading towards TSMM (getting 3 Screamin FP on the way to TSMM), ride TSMM, carousel (dh gets RSR FP), use Screamin FP, send my parents with kids to ride Fun Wheel while I get WOC and Soarin FP, then meet up and ride Little Mermaid. What should we do now??

I would get RSR RP first because your wait time would be shorter, that way you can pull another FP sooner.

With an 8am opening.

Yeah I would think Soarin FP first at opening head to Paradise Pier, TSMM, Screamin, Funwheel, Symphony, Goofy, Mermaid, RSR FP should be around 930am.
Then Grizzly with no FP, then use FP for Soarin.
Lunch
Should be close to 2 hour window, if not visit Hollywood Land, then get FP for Tower of Terror.

Just thinking on the fly :)
