So I have read that RSR fastpass distribution will be where the fast passes were for ITTBAB were, the problem is that I never knew where that was. I was wondering if someone could draw it up on a park map for when we go in June so I have a better clue where to go.

Appreciate the help.

The FPs were under an awning near the entrance to the show.

will not be used till things calm down.)" -DisneyGeek

Awesome...that was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I always forget about the wikimap of DL/CA. It is so nice because you can really zoom in on things.

Looks like a straight shot in from the main gate, and then a slight left before Carsland.

(I know where it is, I've just never gone there straight from rope drop...)

That's exactly what I was getting at...rope drop to RSR Fastpass distribution, oh let the chaos begin.

And if there already thousands of AP holders or resort guests inside the park, it's going to be even worse. They'll already be lined up for FP!

I''m thankful that it has FP. I'll be interested to see how much time one has to stand in line in order to even get one.

Oh yeah, its going to be insane alright! And yeah because other people will be there at opening, its going to make the FP and the queue already filled at opening! Same time though, this stuff balances itself out after the few first chaotic weeks. Star Tours 2 had the same problem its first few weeks and FP were gone before noon basically. But by August, even with the MM people, the FP line was nonexistant in the mornings.

But I have a small story I can relate to of early FP morning madness, but in a different Disney theme park. It was Tokyo DisneySea when TOT there just opened in 2007, maybe a few weeks after opening. I showed up at 9 a.m., one hour before the park opened that day! The line was huuuuuuge! Its generally huge anytime in the busy season, but I mean long! It took me 45 mins just to get my ticket, an hour before the park opened.

Anyway, the park opened and I kid you not 95% of the people were all going to the same place. NOT to TOT, but to the FP line lol. I saw the looooong line forming ahead of me thinking people were lining up for the ride when I realized I was just in the FP line lol. The actual ride was only about 20 mins then (5 mins after the park opened though), but we ALL had the same idea! It took me about 20 mins to get the FP, lines were moving swiftly, for a 230 p.m. return time, but same length I couldve rode the ride already lol. The queue was already an hour by the time I got the FP, which I was still not bad and so just got in line with my 230 p.m. FP for later. But the crazy thing was after I rode it my second time with my FP, they still had FPs past 8 p.m. so I grabbed another one and rode it 3 times that day!

So sometimes it SEEMS really bad at opening, but stuff dies down! In fact, I probably shouldve just rode the ride first and got the FP later, but you are so afraid its going to be gone the first few hours of the day, you just get in line like the others!

That actually makes tons of sense...the cattle will go where they are driven so to speak. I will probably go in with my wife and send her to go look at the queue while I head to fast pass and then decide based on that information which line to wait in.

That's kind of what it's like for Toy Story passes at WDW. Tons of people rush to get FP's and if you rush to the line, you can generally ride once fairly quickly and then get a FP to come back later. FP's are gone soon after. It's really crazy.

I really think the FP line is still going to be a huge mess for those of us going in July.

We went to WDW about a year ago and I took everyone's tickets, beat feet to the fast pass line by myself to get tickets, by the time I got out the family all got to the start of the standby line and we all went on in about 15 mins then had a fast pass for later as well. Then we were able to combine that with a child swap so some of us got to go 3-4 times.

I can't wait to start getting reports on how it goes so I can plan my strategies. We will be arriving on a Sunday either late morning or early afternoon so we will use that day to get used to the layout and checkout FP times so we will know what to do first thing Monday morning.

For ST last July we went straight to FP which only took about 10-15. Then we were able to ride around 9:30 and then get another FP good for around 3:00pm. That worked out well for ST, but have to see if that works for RS. I can see the FP line for RS being longer than ST.

Thanks for the map! Do you think they will make people walk all the way around to strech out the crouds to the Golden State or do you think they will allow people to walk through the front of Buena Vista St right to the fast pass machines by bugs land? We are not going until the end of July so I guess they could change things but just was wondering.

That's a good question! With the APEE mornings (Sa/Su/Tu/Th) and the DLR Hotel EMH mornings (M/W/F), I think we're all wondering about the FastPass line for RSR. :earsboy:

I'm sure that there will be plenty of discussions and threads about getting RSR FPs starting on June 15, if not before. :goodvibes

Maybe someone with more FastPass experience (like Star Tours last year) may want to venture a guess. :thumbsup2

We need Robo's WDW maps for DLR. :sad1: The Wikimapia needs an updated satellite image and annotations (Luigi's Roamin' Tires?).

So for those of us that are clueless on the lay of the land, the GCH entrance (which I assume is the best entrance for guests staying @ DLH) is near GRR, so follow the Yellow Brick Road past GRR and the Pacific Wharf area to the entrance to Cars Land, which I presume is near ITB and Mater's (MJJ)? Sorry, but the image is really dated.

You guys make a good point. Would it just be smarter to go to the ride? I'm assuming everyone is thinking to run to the FP machines first thing in the morning and not to the ride making the ride line not that bad?

At one point the ride was going to be called Luigi's Roamin' Tires. FYI.
