RPR Resort/Parking Fee

i always stay at a deluxe resort and with my florida resident discount, it comes out to less then my stays at the hard rock in universal and it includes free parking :confused3 - i like universal resorts, just never liked the fact that i had to pay for parking, guess its just me

Paying for parking stinks at hotels/resorts, period! I travel frequently for business and have become used to paying parking fees, mainly in cities. I will be paying $30 day for parking at Loews in Santa Monica for a business trip in two weeks. Ugh! I think I have become immune to the fees (especially when paid for by my employer) but I can definitely understand the frustration from vacationers who normally do not come across a parking fee. I know WDW doesn't charge for parking but their resort rates are definitely higher for comprable accomdations when compared to US. It is evident they have the parking fees included in their rates as Damo stated.

I'm not sure I should start a new thread for this or not.

Just an FYI -It appears that Loews at Universal no longer provides complimentary parking for disabled guests. I finally heard back from accounting as well as received an email from Concierge that parking is not complimentary for handicapped license holders. I had a rather lengthy conversation with accounting conveying that there is an inconsistency as their office sent out an email to a guest that parking is complimentary (thanks, Robert). The accounting TM stated she has worked there 7 years and never heard of this before. I told her that Heather at the front desk told me it was complimentary as well. She agreed they need to be consistent. The charge was taken off my account but I have been told that the current policy is no complimentary parking. I was honest with the that it wasn't a deal breaker for me but it was the principal that I was told it was complimentary and them I was charge. This will hopefully never apply to my family again anyway as I don't think my mother will be joining us in the future. So just a head's up!
