RPR Reservation Change

We have a 4 night stay booked at the RPR next July at $191 per night but would like to cancel two of those nights. Do you think we would be allowed to just shorten this reservation to 2 nights at $191, or would we have to pay the new higher price, ie rebook? The new price is the same as Portofino so we may as well stay there if we have to start from scratch.
Thanks in advance. :)

I just booked for early next August also for the $191 (I'm assuming AAA) and only booked for one night. Any time I'm looking at in late July to early August was the same price for one night or more, weekend or not. Check booking through AAA or through Loews using the AAA pricing and I think you could rebook for the same price for only 2 nights. Might be easier than trying to cancel part of a reservation.

Afraid not. Prices are still higher than my original booking, $239 compared to the original $191. The Universal Online Booking System is the same as Loews anyway. Need to phone them I think, and see if they can just cancel 2 of the nights. As I'm in England, I am a bit reluctant to get involved with all these phone calls.
Thanks for advice :thumbsup2
MIKE

Sorry about the bad advice - guess you must be going just enough earlier in July that we've reached some cutoff (either date or rooms reserved). When I enter my dates, I still get the $191.20. I agree the phone calls sound like a hassle from overseas - hopefully you'll get someone competent the first time!

You took the time to advise. All advice is greatly appreciated. Thankyou! :sunny:

I booked RPR for Labor Day weekend. The website had a lower price for 2 nights than if I got just one. I had to cancel one night and they wouldn't let keep the one night. So we stayed at PBH and they really treated us right with an outstanding upgrade, a card from the general manager and a manager's reception at check in. I'd stay at PBH if it's the same price. It sounds like a few people are switching to PBH for service and accomodations.

I thought as much. Sounds like you were pleased with the hotel. All I need to do now is find out which room requests to make. How come the card from the GM? :sunny:

We have stayed there quite a few times. We have booked garden rooms at least a dozen times but have never stayed in one. We have always been upgraded to at least a bay view.

Good stuff. How did you do that?
So all I need to say is "I'm a long standing friend of Motherfletcher, can we have our upgrade now please." :teeth:

That ought to work! :thumbsup2 The 1st time I mentioned it was my son's birthday and we got upgraded to bay view. We were Loews 1st members.
