RPR or Vista Cay Condo?

How important will it be to have FOTL access the last week in April? DH & I had planned to stay at RPR, but we are also looking at Vista Cay Condos. It is absolutely worth paying more to not wait in lines. But if it is not a very busy time, it would be nice to have the convenience of a condo. Anyone have any experience with Vista Cay? Thanks in advance!

The FOTL pass is obviously of benefit but the other thing is the convenience of just being able to stroll to the parks in a morning or at any time you want with the knowledge that lines are not going to be a problem. The biggest problem is spoiling yourself then not wanting to do without FOTL or staying onsite. My husband enjoyed not having to drive around to parks all of the time and especially on a night.

Thank you for the reply, Wicket2005. I have to agree with you...the convenience is worth as much as FOTL. We will definitely stay at RPR.

Thanks okay. We have just been through similar discussions ourselves when deciding where to stay in December. We ended up going back to the Hard Rock which we visited in July. We just couldn't face the travelling and lack of FOTL passes.

We did just stayed at Vista Cay and really like it! Becuase we are making a few trips this year we decided to invest in the Premier Annual Pass which gets you FOTL after 4 (although most attractions allow 3pm). Our Vista Cay condo was only $99 per night for 2,000 SF -- you just can't beat the space!

We've got a week at Vista Cay and are rounding our holiday off with 2 nights are RPR.

With 2 teenage kids we need the space of the condo but the FOTL access is too good to miss.

Vista Cay looks superb. Not going for 7 months so any info on what is new in the area would be welcome. Google Earth shows a construction site. :thumbsup2

There's no construction at Vista Cay itself. They are building Harbor Square next door. It will be a very large complex with specialty shops, restaurants, etc. Next store on the other side the Publix Square is open. It is a wonderful store that has about everything, the people there are so friendly, and it has about everything. The square will have a Chinese Restaurant, NYPD Pizza, and Sports Bar and Grill (signs in windows saying coming soon) plus much more! We were there just a few weeks ago and the construction noise of Harbor Square was really not that noticeable where we were located.

The Harbor Square by the time you go in seven months will be just about completed. Some businesses are due to be completed in July and all to be completed by September, from what I understand.

You'll love Vista Cay. The lake is beautiful! The Clubhouse has about everything you need from swimming pool, games room, movie theater, baskeball/sports court, party room, and its own concierge service. The landscaped walkway around the lake is beautiful! Its location is great as you can get about anywhere in 10 minutes or less.

We love it there! :yay: Have a great vacation!
