We our huge HP fans and are considering a one-night stay prior to our WDW trip this July.

The lowest rate at RPR is coming up $269... Does rate seem high or is this normal? We are first time visitors to Universal so I've got no idea of what to expect.

Thanks!

That's a good rate. You probably won't find anything cheaper if you stay at a Loews hotel during this coming peak season due to Harry Potter. All of the resorts are at full occupancy and therefore prices are at their all-time high.

Some AP rates are available. I would select all resorts, enter your dates, use the drop down menu to select Promotion and enter APH as the code.

You will need to get an AP sometime during your visit for this rate.

We are going 7/6-7/9 and PBH bay view room is $219.

Hope this helps!

Call and ask if they have any AAA rates, sometimes even if you have to get a membership the savings can be more.

Right now the rates for June and July are pretty bad since all the promotional rates are taken. If you are going on a weekend then it will be even harder to get something lower. Remember you will get 2 days of FOTL for one night room so take that in consideration when looking at other hotels. I think during July it can run around $50 for a express pass and the difference usually covers the extra cost of the room.
