ok, need to know , if i stay here for 10 days what could i expect to be made up to i.e gold card .
also how many days do you need to qualify for a step up in card status

You would be LoewsFirst Gold with 10 nights but if you would reserve each night individually you would be Platinum:

Those individuals who know Loews comforts the best and have 10 qualified^ stays or 15 qualified^ nights will be automatically upgraded to our most prestigious membership level, LoewsFirst Platinum. The exclusive benefits of LoewsFirst Platinum include the following on each qualified stay^

Your favorite welcome amenity.

Wall Street Journal, USA Today or the local paper delivered to your door every morning you stay with us.

Free access to our fitness center.

Earn 1,000 Membership Rewards® Bonus Points or 1,000 American Airlines AAdvantage Miles or 1,000 Amtrak Guest Rewards Points or 500 Midwest Miles per qualified^ stay.*

Guaranteed reservations with 24 hours notice.^^

Enjoy a free upgrade to a LoewsFirst suite, if available, guaranteed at the time of reservation.**

Guaranteed late check-out of 3 hours beyond the regular check-out time.

Thanks for that Motherfletcher, so if i stay 15 nights i would get Platinium, also do you think they would book me 10 nights individually.
another question , would you ring the hotel for bookings or the number on the Lowes site, i rang the number on the Universal site for the hotel prices and she was not very helpful, i asked about deals available but couldn

Thats pretty clever!

I have booked individually before when I wanted to add a day on the front or the end of a trip and it is kind of a pain. They make you go down to the front desk and re-register, re-issue room keys and they could move you to a different room (they never moved us). I think 10 nights individually would raise a few eye brows. I would do it on the computer if you are going to try. The 10 night stay would get you Gold though. On a LoewsFirst question I would call 1-800-563-9712. That number gets you the Arizona switchboard and as soon as you say Royal Pacific they will want to transfer you to the Universal reservationists. So ask all LoewsFirst questions before you mention RPR.

thanks for the info Motherfletcher, yes 10 days gets you up to gold .
Just of the phone and booked 11 nights for next July for $239 with free
upgrade to pool view. The girl said to ring back at the end of the month to see if any triple AAA rates are out.
Thanks again

bg4 EDIT: Reprasing question (If you quoted me it is no longer pertinent)When did qualifying stay requirements change?

I am already platinum from my many stays at HRH.

I would never doubt motherflethcher but I was able to get platinum status in last five years with only four stays and over 15 nights.

Does not one week stay count as 7 qualifying nights?

The 15 nights is what got you platinum. A one week stay counts as one stay and 7 nights towards qualifying for platinum.

I am so confused. I just spoke with Loews First today and they said that they have not reaged their "accounts" in almost two years. They said that they are in the process of doing this and that the minimum stays (3 stays for gold, 10 for platinum) are required EACH year, not over a span of a few years. I did not know this and was told that I had 9 qualifying stays so I gave up my Florida resident discount to make 10 for Platinum. Today they said that some of my stays were in 2004 and these would not be counted when they reage the account. I am bummed. Does anyone know about this? Did I get it right?

This whole thread started with motherfletcher saying that if you stayed 10 nights you would be gold but 10 separate nights which would in effect equal 10 different reservations you would be platinum.

Qualifications: Gold - 3 stays/6 nights and platinum - 10 stays/15 nights.
Seems that I didnt get it at all. Darn you motherfletcher but I never doubted you.

To last post. I do not (but what do I know) believe it is every year. You might want to call and ask again.

Sorry to go off topic. I posted another thread about my question.

All I know is that I have a platinum card and they cant take that away from me.

What is reage? No such word in m-w.com

Every year they are suppose look (reage) at individual LF accounts and see if you had enough qualifying stays to remain Platinum or Gold. They don't scrutinize the accounts very tightly. Every time I call to make ressies they tell me I'm Plat rather than me telling them.
We just returned from a trip to Loew's Miami Beach where they take Loew's First to a different level. The VIP Manager upgraded us to a top floor St. Moritz Suite that was beautiful! My daughter heard that it was the same room that Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake had stayed in so I checked for "There's Something About Mary" stains. :rotfl2: He left a personalized card in the room welcoming us. He left a voice mail the second day saying he was off but if I needed him he gave me his cell number. He called me the third day from home and asked if everything was OK and told me about the recent upgrades they had done to my room and told me that a late check out beyond the 3 hour late check out would be no problem. I had emailed him in advance of our trip stating concerns about the construction noise from the new 18,000 square foot Elemis Spa they are constructing at the bottom of the St. Moritz building. He asked if we heard any noise and I told him, "No." He said that is because he told them to discontinue construction during our stay! I don't know if he was pulling my leg but I never heard a hammer.
It was truly a 5 star experience! :thumbsup2

Now you know what I was talking about Motherfletcher!! I spent the first day at Loew's Miami thinking "gee, the vip mgr. must have me confused with someone else" lol ! When he met us in the lobby and escorted us to breakfast....wow! And I wouldn't doubt that he had construction stopped while your family was there either.....that's just how that place caters to Loew's platinum members. Bet you felt as spoiled as we did!!

What is the easiest way to get one of these? Over the next few years I plan on spending alot of time at Universal and I plan on staying at the RP or Portinfino. Also, if I stay for a month or 2 at a time is there any way I can get some kind of special rate (montly or weekly) thanks.

You can enroll online and you will be given a membership # instantly. You will have to wait for the actual card to be mailed to you but the number can be used right away on any reservation.

You should call the hotel directly to ask about extened stay rates.

Thanks fan, I take it your an Aerosmith fan, they rock.

the rules are you need x number of days each calendar year to continue at the card level.

if you are gold, you need a specific number of nights PER year to stay at that level. if you don't, you move down to blue.

they can only go back 24 months to give you credit for your stays.

i found an error in my total last year but could not recoop the lost dates.
it was past 24 months.

i would have a problem with having x amount of days each year, as living here in Ireland there is no Loews hotels here or in the UK to my knoweledge, so the only time i would be able to stay is when i am in Florida which at the minute will be once a year for our holiday, and they are not guaranteed to be within 1 year of each other maybe 13 months apart approx.
